Re: The Eventual Famine

Ok, well I do know for a fact atht Winamp runs perfectly under 7, and as far as I know 8, but I can not say for sure because I dont use it, I use Foobar. But I know others who use it on a regular basis running it just fine under 7. As for Thunderbird, if you put the messages into separate windows instead of tabs it makes it easier to work with attachments.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=172859#p172859

Re: The Eventual Famine

Well put Jeremy. For me, I run 7 because I have no problems with it, and I know the work that was put into it from using Vista, and then moving to 7 with what was done to the minwin kernel. Yes I know thats the wrong spelling of that word. Dark, Im not trying to force you to upgrade, you can do whatever you want to do. Tell me this though. Apart from your VB6 games which we already know should have no problem running under 7 or 8, what other things do you use on a daily basis that you think only XP could do? I bet you I can offer you an alternative to those. I know you mentioned Outlook Express, and my alternative to that would be thunderbird. It does the exact things that Expres does, and doesnt require you to do email profiles or whatever theyre called. Honestly, I didnt play with outlook much as once the file that it uses to get my data got corrupted, I went to thunderbird and didnt look b
ack as it was annoying for me to wipe out everything and recreate all my accounts because it cant read a file and because of that will not even start. Do some research on 7, and dont just say oh, Im not going to even consider this because I like what I have and Im happy with it. At least consider why people are moving to 7/8.So tell me: What programs would you want in 7 that are in your current xp?URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=172625#p172625

Well Dark, enjoy getting hacked once people start reverse engineering XP. Im glad Im on 7, I dont use windows mail, I use thunderbird, and to be brutally honest, none of the classics you mentioned gave me the slightest bit of interest. So its no loss to me if we lose them or not. If some one writes up an emulator than thats great. If not, XP is now I believe 10 years old now? Its time to lay it to rest and get with everyone else. Im not on windows8 yet as I have no reason to upgrade currently, but Im sure I will one day.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=172260#p172260

The menu is just new game on top, load game beneath it. Thats how all the FF games have been. Your cursor always starts on load game, so pressing up will put you on new game. Unfortunately, if youre a total I dont see how you can navigate the sphere grid or FFX2s garment grids. I wish theyd add in the newer cards, as the ones that are there now are pretty out-of-date. Unless something new has come up besides this mud that is. If thats the case, Id love to know about it.
