hello,Let me explain.I can switch to the eloquence synthesiser. My problem: The voice is at 50 percent volume and so low in pitch its hard to understand. i open up the voice perams dialog, and set them just how i like I cant press ok. What? Hi,Jaws is definitly extendable; Indeed, i have found several scripts that make me dayly life easier on a computer. As for word processing, jaws provides vertual ribben menus for MSOffice and other products that use it. It also has a custom built script for word, excell and power point that allows it to read some of the tool tips etc. NVDA does this, but it does it in one hit. Hi,Personally, i use jaws and NVDA.Here comes my reasons:1: JawsJaws its self is extremely reliable and good when it comes to things such as mudding, word processing, and coding. Ok, it can be a little slow at times. However, with visual studio, it is the best option for developing with c#.2: NVDANVDA has a certain way of dealing with its app modules that i rather like. Its also faster for my older boxes i have lying around. The IE 4.x active x control has issues. Mainly that the script errors you keep seeing on youtube or any _javascript_ enabled website are because the active x controler doesnt support them. Microsoft office, open office.org, and lebra office. Each one has a different set of features. thus, thats sort of like saying why create another programming language, when there are already 45 in use? Its also kind of like saying, why create a browser when there are better ones out there? To develop, to further knowledge and provide to the community. Ok, you might have all the generic feature set, like console, network, keyboard etc, but ive not seen a game engine that can, say, read configuration files. thats exactly what visualstudio has done. In the future, their might be an engine that uses 3 different syntaxical conventions. Who knows. Hi,@camlorn. Youre certainly not being pessamistic in your estimates. If you were to work really hard at it, perfecting it, etc, then itd be at least 6 months to a year before even an alpha is ready. I say this because incorperating rgb colors in to a program is a little difficult for a blind person. its like you said, there are a lot of lists out there, but how are you supposed to assign a sound to say, purple, if you dont know what it looks like? I think youd need at least a sighted team of developers, or even like reality gaming has a few people willing to describe things and perhaps draw them out, in an extreme situation. Hi,In a vm there will always be a small delay when pressing keys. It even happens on windows. this is because your vmware host has to register the key press, and send it to the vm. Hi,It is indeed, accessible on mac. However, navigating the interface with voiceover is a little tricky. In fact, nothing is grouped. Its just a hole window full of controls. I can use it, and it works, but its not my personal choice. However, it does support vsts on mac, so... Hi,@CAEJones. Its exactly the same problem .The rest of you.A twitter client would not only be difficult to program in PureBasic, it would be dam near impossible. Note: The same applys to facebook.1. API. Unfortunately, i do not have ready access to the twitter API. As for facebook, its so difficult for a blind person to use, syntactically, its not even worth my time.2. Competition. Its kind of not worth my time to develop a twitter client. there are already several for the blind out there, the qube, chicken nugget, and mctwit, to name 3. As for facebook clients, id bet my bottom dollar that most people would just go ahead and buy social-eyes.3. Interface issues. In PB, there are a few interface issues that can happen when using large list gadgets or text gadgets, for example.If you have a list gadget comprising over about 300 items, the
  window will start to become unresponsive. Over 600, gadgets will sease to function properly. Any more and the window will simply freeze.A text gadget, which would be the other approach, is also difficult.If it gets to about 4 chars, which isnt that hard with twitter and facebook, the gadget starts to do odd things. For example, it can jump focus around the gadget.Any other suggestions are welcome. Hi, I cant do android apps, windows phone apps, or cloud apps, as i dont own any of these devices. Theres not really a way to test them without such a device, so.I was considering doing a server of some kind, an intigrated ftp, web and something else. But that would be too time consuming.I need to learn other programming languages, for example c#, and how to add controls to windows forms using such a language.
