Re: Accessible games for the Iphone.

[[wow]] that should keep you busy, though they are so similar they're nearly mods of each other. You should however note that the mmorpgs aren't the only things storm8 make. They also make what are called "social games" like dragon island, restaurant story and such. These are purely graphical games with no vo access at all and are more like pet care games with a heavy emphasis on appearence and customization and little to no stratogy, sort of fashion and design games if you like.As far as i know, the accessible games from storm8 are Zombies live, Vampires live, I mobsters, Kingdoms Live, World War, Ninjas Live, Pets live, and Cannon ball.I believe the gameplay differences between them are fairly slight. For instance in vampires live and zombies live, vampires and zombies can battle each other, while in world war you can have six of each unit for your stat boosting not one, and are a member of a country who gain points globally not just fighting fo
r your individual group. I've heard Raul say in Pets and Ninjas you gain money differently, though I'm not sure how, indeed for db purposes it'd be nice to know some of the differences.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=151467#p151467

Well Raul Gillegos and some other people really like the storm8 stuff for what they are, run up stats and battle people. I myself am not a fan due to them having no real atmosphere or text and not really any story, with battling other players and increasing in rank being the main focus of the games. They're free to download and play though so just give them a try.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=151423#p151423

So, are the Storm8 games actually worth my time, then? I've already got Solara, will get into it soon.As for iOS games, well here's what's in my collection right now excluding some mentioned above already and some that I have either not tested or tested and found lacking: accessible fruit machine, accessible minesweeper, advent, AIAdventure, Audio Invaders, Audiorun, Aurifi, Blackbar, Blindscape, Blindside, Codename Cygnus, Echo, Freeq, Frotz, Meanwhile, MouseKick, 1812.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=151393#p151393

Re: Accessible games for the Iphone.

Well Solara is very awsome and I'd highly recommend it. The storm8 games all function in a fairly similar way, indeed so much so you ight say they're the same game repeated, although the ones we don't have pages for on the db likely need them all the same. Raul Gillegos did a great podcast about the storm8 games, the links to it can be found on the entry for Vampires live in the db. Regarding Ayakashi, that is one I forgot. It basically functions a little like a mmorpg, where you do quests and randomly get cards with different ghosts to battleagainst other players. It's entirely accessible, (though the game has mmany images), however the mechanics are quite simple. One thing to take note of in a lot of the online mmorpg games like the storm8 ones, Ayakashi and indeed Solara is that even when the game is free to download and try out, you need to make in ap perchices for special items or currency. In ayakashi there are a good few paid items, indeed t
his makes it a little difficult when you are attacked by other players who have bought them, and mean it is something of a pay to increase game. Storm8's stuff is slightly similar, though there the payment system won't convey an automatic advantage like more powerful stats etc. Solara has a paid currency and a number of paid upgrades, but all these do is increase your progress, ie, how much resources you get over time. Though the game does! have battling other players, you lose nothing if you lose, and there is a very very strong single player element to the game with individual quests to complete and an ongoing story. This is also why Solara has become so very popular, and quite deservedly so, of all the morpg games I've tried on the Iphone it's by far the best.A page for Cribbage pro would be good, and indeed any other Iphone titles which don't have entries, since obviously lots of people now have Iphones and it's becoming a major
  platform for accessible games.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=151259#p151259

Hi Dark,I gotcha. I realized what you said after I started looking on Itunes. I picked up some storm8 games. Something about a ninja, and something called pet life. I love that most of the games are free. lol it's so cool. Oh, I also picked up one of the other games you mentioned. It seems to be one of the more popular ones as of late Solara? Haven't tried it yet, but I will soon. Those other games I was talking about that I got off of Apple Viss were:A fist full of Penguins, Ping Pong Blind Folded or something like that, and Ayakashi (something about ghost cards).Of course I haven't tried all these, along with all the games I already have, lol. I'm working on it, though.Dark, I will get on that entry for Cribbage Pro, just want to play around with the game a little more. I've only just started a game, and I like the layout. I have not finished a game yet, and I believe you need to pay for the online features. Not sure th

Re: Accessible games for the Iphone.

Mmm, I'm afraid you might have got the wrong end of the stick there Staindadict. I meant that all of storm8's! games were the same game repeated. These are I mobsters, zombies live, Vampires live, Kingdoms live, world war etc etc, basically the same mmorpg grinder under different mods. Choiceofgames are a company who produce  interactive choice based gamebook style games, including choice of zombies, choice of the star captain and Hero's rise. They also let anyone free with the code for their scripting engine, so anyone can write games in the same style, which Choiceofgames publish under the company name hosted games. Hope this all makes sense, as I said check the db for more info. Cool about Cribbage pro. I enjoy cribbage even though I'm not particularly good at it (the computer in BG cribbage beats me half of the time). Perhaps you could write a db entry for it describing it's interface, features and so on? hint hit.<

Re: Accessible games for the Iphone.

Thanks much Dark. I have a majority of those, but have to check out the first three companies you mentioned. Never checked out storm 8, or the other two that you said were pretty much just like them. I'd like to hear more if anyone has anymore.. I know there's more.. lol There's got to be. I picked up three more today on apple viss that I had never heard of and I find them fun. I'd list the titles, but I have no idea how to spell them. I'll list them in my next time I post.I also picked another one the other day just browsing Itunes called Cribbage Pro. I found it on my own just looking for a cribbage game, and it's completely accessible. If you guys like cribbage, go for it. It's so awesome. You can play online and everything. Completely accessible with voiceover. I highly recommend it.More soon.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=151220#p15

Re: Accessible games for the Iphone.

applevis is worth a look, however since it also lists games as partially accessible, and since there are some games that I believe don't have entries a list might be helpful. The ones I know about are:All choiceofgames titles, all hosted games titles, (actually the same as choiceofgames, just written by different people and in a different heading in the ap store). All Storm8 titles, (which are basically the same game anyway),Lost cities, King of Dragon Pass,Solara, Papasangre, The Nightjar, Sixth Sense,Codename Signus,Epical gladiators,Godville,Ear Monsters,Smack me, Audio Archery, The Inquisitor,The Freq,Freak, (a different game to the above, an audio drama thing which I've not tried yet),Hatchy virtual pet (though I'm not sure all of that is accessible), Soul Trapper, Stem Stumper, Robo E, If anyone wants to add to this list
I'd be interested to know myself, especially anything that is actually accessible, rather than just playable, ie, hitting the screen and hoping the way games like Haypy monster tend to work.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=151192#p151192

Hi,I can second that, Applevis is a good starting point. There are over a hundred games that users have submitted, but some of them aren't accessible, and the reason they have that rating there is to either try to get the developer's attention, which has worked for a few games.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=151190#p151190

Accessible games for the Iphone.

Hi guys,Does anyone have a complete list, or at least nearly a complete list of games for the Iphone that are accessible? I'm talking about games like Papa Sangre, Dice World, Audio Archery, stuff like that. I'm hoping to come across some I don't know. I've been finding some around the site that I didn't know about, and I've got them and I'm enjoying them. I just want to make sure I have them all. lolNo seriously though, if anyone has any games they'd like to post on this topic, please do. If you've shared it already or not, please let me know, cause I'm not very good on the whole Iphone games scene. I've just started getting into it.Thanks so much.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=151133#p151133
