Hi,I have come across some websites that do say that they'd pay you for filling surveys, but haven't found one which wasn't a scam,or was available for my location. So far the amazon mechanical turck is the only website that seems would've worked to get me a little extra something on the side. but since my application wasn't accepted ahh well.grryfURL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=171294#p171294

Re: Making Money Online

From what I can tell, the survey things work, but are quite the time investment; basically, they flood your inbox with surveys, you fill out the first pages of about a dozen before you find one that you qualify for, and hope it's not one that requires a purchase (there are quite a few of those). Also, not all surveys are accessible; poorly labeled graphics as buttons, and in one memorable case, they asked for location by providing a clickable map.Given enough time and patience, you probably could make money off surveys. But it'd be a lot like level-grinding.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=171285#p171285

Hi Chandu and others,After playing around a bit,and basicly getting enough points to unlock any reward,I gave codes4free.net/ a go.And found out, what sounds too good to be true, probably is too good to be true. so it gos for this site.if you have enough points,it'll tell you to fill out a survey, with which I am fine,as long as it doesn't want me to buy something,or pay for something. It also then tells you to download a file. so nada, this is a scam, short and simpleYou are better off with some site that actually pais you to read or click or such, but that only works if you have a referal base you can draw from.Freelanceing is something that I have always  been interested in as I have said before, because there you actually work and can get paid. once of course you get on your feet which means get started.Which I haven't managed yet.grryfURL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=171220#p171220

Can you tell memore about freelancing?  I'm currently in my second semester of college/technical college, going for an Accounting degree.  I need some extra income to help my Mom out with bills and to save for the property taxes and to pay more on my credit cards.  I've thought about applying for a job, but most secretary or receptionists jobs want people to file stuff, and that would be a bit hard for me, since I can't read the stuff to be filed or the filing folders.  Anyway, I was hoping for some suggestions, but I've never heard of the freelancing?.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=169494#p169494

Re: Making Money Online

Odesk does, sort of.You get to define your workplace , prior accomplishments and such. But its usually more about feedback scores that you gain by completing jobs, so new oDeskers often go for the easy jobs first rather than the well-paying ones to rake in some feedback. Also you can do skill tests to prove you are well-versed in a certain field. As for how to present yourself well, write a brief but comprehensive statement on what you can do. Make sure there's no spelling or grammar errors in it, that comes across as being no big deal to you. Also you need to upload a picture, make sure you look inviting on it. Don't slouch or anything like that. For more tips I guess check out the site you are going to do freelancing work for, they'll have plenty.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=165270#p165270

Hi,Look , I don't think you understand what it is we're doing here. Freelancing means you are working on your own to sell your abilities to those who need it. That can be audio editing, which I think is not blind-specific at all, you can do photoshop if that tickles your fancy, a lot of jobs on the freelance market involve designing websites or logos. There's document editing, data entry, transcription, translation ...that kind of thing . Things like arts and crafts sound more like stuff you could sell in some kind of online webshop or through a firm that sells things like this. It's a slightly different process.BalliolURL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=165203#p165203

Re: Making Money Online

I think out of all these, freelancing is the mostw ell-paying one out there. You really need to be able to present yourself well though. For example, you can get a profile on oDesk and do transcription, translation, audio editing, voiceover work, programmin etc, buty ou do need to be able to convince prospective clients of your expertise. Also, don't pull the blind card too often. If you can do a task just fine without any adaptations on the part of the client, they sure as heck don't need to know you're blind. That of course goes even more for putting it out ther on your profile, just don't.Its not a sustainable income by any stretch of the word, because a lot of these jobs are geared for people in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka etc where a couple dollars an hour is a lot of money, but if you search through the incoming jobs you're sure to find something that worth the time , money-wise.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=165147#p165147

Hi,I am actually interested in this topic too, since I have been searching for some online stuff which actually pays and is not a scam.ptc can be a good although  a slow method of getting a little bit of extra cash,as long as you have a place you can get referrals or have a few people who are willing to do the same as you. without referrals  its not worth doing as you may as well earn no money at all. Freelanceing is something I have heard a little about but not enough. some people do say that it does pay well, though it all depends on what jobs you are able to get and in freelance work you actually have to invest some cash to get returns which leads to so many scams.I'd be interested in ptr programs,as that is something I haven't tryed before.Amazon Mechanical Turk looks good so far, just waiting on verification to see if I'd be a
