They give you 10 gigs, and while you do start off with less space if you have about 10 bucks at your disposal you can pay per month for infinate, and I do really mean infinate, space for your hard drive! You could even pay yearly for infinate space. Re: dectalk.com is down? Yep Aaron, that's more or less how I got into it too. The adventures of Cristo the Australian Cow is by far the best ever drama I have heard with synthesizers. So it's not anything singing, or not even Dectalk, but it's still a synth commity of sorts. Most of all I like those voices, it was an old company called Rhetorical that produced the voices. i wish they didn't dye, because I really liked them. I never even got to try them. And I was one of those people who got it, but some parts seem to be missing. It was on a bad external so yeah it's not 100 percent complete, but there's a fair bit of stuff in it. I don't think it would be worth it for me to host it now, since we don't even know what the official archive is doing. If worst comes to worst, I will host my old copy but it's missing a lot (for the person talking about the Red Dwarf stuff, I do still have that section).I'm on the Dectalk list but admittedly I haven't been reading it lately, since most of the people on there are talking about how they miss dT and are trying to get ways to get it back. Re: dectalk.com is down? Connor, actually the Dectalk is a synthesizer not a screen reader. There have been a number of versions of the Dectalk both hardware and software. Originally the Dectalk PC was an ISA card, a board, a person installed in their computer with a speaker attached to it. Later Digital produced an external version called the Dectalk Express that plugged into a serial port. Eventually a software TTS version was produced for Windows and Linux, and is still used by some screen readers such as Window-Eyes. There is even suppose to be a USB version of the Dectalk Express sold by some companies. So I wouldn't call it real old in the sense that it is outdated.
