ok, I have the java JDK, but when I open the exe file I get this. Do I need JDK 8? I have heard that that will solv the problem, but I want to avoid it if posible. most of the mods are for single players, but you can get a mod server for ferly cheep. I am looking into making my own mod now, but cant find any accessible java program text edditors

Depends on how many things we can do alone and how many things we can do in company with others.I've never really dealt with minecraft until now.Is it totaly multiplayer, or are there also mods for singleplayer experiences?As i said, it depends hardly on what is offered and available for us.I dont have problems with weird workarrounds.
