Re: Best software for music composition

One thing about the kk script, you have to know where it stores your files and you still don't get all the stuff in that just by using that script so it kind of sucks in a way, though it's not those guys' faults, they do good work.NI, I mean come on bros, step up your game, you say you care about accessibility, you even put it in your keyboards, how hard is it to see your Native Access is a dumpster fire of inaccessibility.

Re: Best software for music composition

This is true on so many accounts.  What's crazy is, you can hover over buttons and such with the mouse, and it announces them fine, at least in Windows, but you cannot navigate it with a keyboard worth a broke joke.  not easily anyways, and definitely not without confusion.

Re: Best software for music composition

Logic itself is pretty accessible. I haven't encountered anything I can't do with it yet. However, if you do choose do purchase native or use their free collections, getting them on mac is pretty dang hard to do, as native access, the application you need to download your stuff, is borderline accessible.

Re: Best software for music composition

Native Instruments has a free set of software synths and sample instruments called Komplete Start.    Paired with Access4Music's free Komplete Kontrol script, and you can make some pretty good stuff with it.    That's on the free side of things, plus there are some really nice software based synths that are nice to use, but I am unsure of how accessible they are on mac.

Re: Best software for music composition

haven't used reaper very much and am no big expert on either, but I have spent some time with logic and my line of thought is, if you have both, why not use both. Logic has quite the number of instruments, and you can do quite a lot with both, if your willing to learn. You can always get new instruments to work in both daws if you so wish, many cost money.

Best software for music composition

Hi all,I've got both Logic for Mac as well as Reaper. But, from what I have heared, Logic isn't that accessible in all areas and you can get more out of Reaper.I want to be able to use step recording as well as correcting my mistakes and have control of levels and things that makes compositions easy from my ideas. On Logicyou get quite good software instruments, but not on reaper. Any comments on this? Many thanks!
