Re: Big TalkBack changes I switched it so up and down and down than up still jump to the top and bottom of the screen and then 3 fingers swipe left and right switched what swiping up and down does. I found that tapping the bottom of the screen doesn't always work for example in Spotify. It's hard to find the connect to other devices option with out being able to jump to the bottom of the screen. Now if it actually scrolled all the way to the bottom like it does on iOS, that would be a different story.That being said, what I often reassign are gestures for home, back or recents, but maybe you need them so it all depends on your preferences. Somehow, they are two different versions of TalkBack. Samsung's is direct replacement for Voice Assistant, and it being installed has resulted in Google's TalkBack being uninstalled from the device, with no possibility of installation.Google's version of TalkBack, 9.1, is being rolled out to devices that can't get Samsung TalkBack, such as Samsung phones running Android 10 and earlier, and every other Android phone that could run TalkBack 8.2. The thing with Google's TalkBack is that multi-finger gestures won't work on phones that aren't made by Google (Pixels) running Android 11 and the March 2021 security update.Of course, one can use a tool like ADB AppControl to uninstall Samsung's TalkBack on Android 11 and install Google's TalkBack, but, based on what I've written above, the multi-finger gestures won't work with TalkBack in this setup, as it is not a Pixel.What a mouthful. Re: Big TalkBack changes wow, I have the updates since last week because I am on a samsung galaxy a9, and they are pretty rad. Thankfully they explained the braille keyboard use better, (screen facing away really means you hold the phone as if you would take a picture of yourself using the back camera) and both modes I like. I can really type much faster now. No contractions in Spanish yet, but its still way faster than the traditional touch keyboard. I am still a big fan of my candyboard though though, so now for lack of one, I have 4 input methods i can use almost anytime. Touch typing as it was before, voice dictation, braille input and the physical keyboard. Good thing about that physical keyboard is that you really can control almost anything from the phone and there is no need to get it out of your pocket, so really great if you are in cars or on the move.And for the changes, it still is a bit annoying to get used to the way you select reading granularity but I guess by configuring gestures you can sort of go back to the old way of doing it. To clarify and make it clear, the update will be pushed out to everyone, not only Pixel devices. However, multy finger gestures are Pixel and Samsung exclusive. Phones that are perfectly capable of supporting multi finger gestures are being prevented from doing so because capitalism, basically. They want you to buy their specific phones.Granted, a lot of phones lack the high latency, high resolution touch timers employed by Pixel and Samsung devices, which, FYI, is now a requirement of the Android CDD, and this fact alone has caused certain devices to have major issues with multi finger gestures. They were hidden away in developer options for a good reason, after all. However, I really see no good reason why multi finger gestures can't just continue to be kept in developer options for phones still lacking said displays. As of right now, you have to literally decompile the APK and change one of the flags in the XML to the control the UI, then recompile it under a different package name and install it. This is simply unacceptable, and smacks of pure laziness and greed on the part of both Samsung and Google.
