Re: Blind Sports.
Re: Blind Sports. I played beep-baseball for ten years or so. I love the sport, but hate the league. Most just want to get drunk, do drugs, and hit on the females. I was there to play, and so it just didn't work.Goal ball is fun. I never played it in a league, but I did enjoy the games I did play in school. Martial arts, I plan on picking up again when I have money to spend on classes. Re: Blind Sports.
Re: Blind Sports. @Simba, ah gotcha. Sorry I can't be of more help in that area. I don't know about dojo in specific cities. But I would encourage you to keep looking. Aikido is definitely something different from Judo, and there are definitely fewer blind people doing it because of its focus on spacing and deflecting, which many blind people seem to find challenging. Re: Blind Sports.
Re: Blind Sports. Yes, but Goalball varies in its impressions depending on the person. Someone who hasn't been introduced to it properly would definitely see it as slow and boring. But 70 kmph shots with a basketball sized ball is definitely not what I would call slow. lol URL: https://forum.audiogames.net/post/450843/#p450843 -- Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector

Re: Blind Sports. Hi@assault, yes, that there are Aikido schools in Germany is known to me, would be strange though if there weren't, would it?I know that the city I currently live had one a few years ago, but as far as I know it has been shut down and I can't find any more traces of it.Greetings Moritz. Re: Blind Sports.
Re: Blind Sports. Boy do I ever love goalball. Luckily I'm still on a high school team but that'll change soon and I'm gonna need to find me a new place to play. Currently I play for Kentucky School for the Blind, because it's the only option I have but I someday hope to play on a more realistic team that ain't run by a school. I also hope to compete against good teams, as almost everybody in our conference can't stand up to a hard throw.I also participate in track in field, but rather a lot more of the track part. I love running. Re: Blind Sports. There are definitely Aikido schools in Germany. I know that for a fact... unless your area just doesn't have any, which is possible. The head Sensei of my dojo's organization goes to Germany at least once a year that I know of. Re: Blind Sports.
Re: Blind Sports. Hi.I engage in horse riding, mostly dressage and cariage driving. When you are blind this is sorta hard to get into in germany if you don't want to rely on blindy organisations, as I do because they are farely limited in the stuff they teach you and they deam basic things about horses to be dangerous for blind people, even though they are totally not.For some time now I wanted to do some Aikido as well, problem is that there are no martial arts schools teaching that over here. We have Judo, but every blindy seams to be doing Judo, all but some examples, and i want to do something different for a change.Greetings Moritz. Re: Blind Sports. Oh I do miss playing football and basketball I'm not referring to the American carrier ball. I'm talking about the sport the world recognises as football lol.Best thing to do is to see if anybody in your area or city have any organisations that are playing any of the sports you're interested in. Re: Blind Sports.
Re: Blind Sports. Anyone who finds Goalball boring either hasn't played it for a decent amount of time, or hasn't watched a high level of play. I sympathize though, I used to think that way as well before I got introduced to the real thing so no offense taken or meant with my own stance. I play Goalball, in Canada for our provincial team, and while it's not a sport, I practice a martial art from Japan caled Aikido and love it. Re: Blind Sports. I personally find goalball pointless and .. slow, boring, quiet... not really exciting (no offense intended to the fans)I exercise but do not play any sports yet. I love swimming though and do it weekly as part of my training. I would like to play soccer but not sure how the blind variant of this would go or would be. Blind Sports. Hi guys. I was wondering what blind or normal sports do you guys play and what team do you play for?I play goalball for Trinidad. We just launched our team. I also dabble in sighted football and cycling. I also tried sighted cricket. Badmenton and ping pong. The latter gave me trouble.
