It's been a while since I messed with CDDA, but you should be able to start by installing it via a daily snapshot. I need to check into it again, the problem I had last time was that the stable version somehow wasn't accessible, for reasons that escape me. I'll poke at it and post here if I get any farther.

if i recall correctly they were going to work on the windows console to make it accessible but i don't recall any progress being made,and the only accessible way was the console on linux, without gui

Hmm, it seems you are correct. The link to the offsite post he made is dead though, but I've managed to dig up a few others [here] and [here] discussing CDDA accessibility. You could also try browsing your linux distribution's package manager for it as well.

I'm not sure if you'll have any better luck in terms of accessibility with CDDA on linux as opposed to windows, but there is a reddit thread [here] that discusses installing it on linux systems. Bottom line is you may need to compile it from source yourself, like from its [github] and install any required dependancies.

Cataclysm, dark days ahead help

Greetings all. I just got a linux distribution on a virtual machine to try this roguelike out. You might know that i'm a big fan of random generation, and violence, so yeah, cdda is probably what i'm looking for. Guns, vehicles, death. My only problem is i don't know where to start with linux and with this game in general. Can anyone help with this? The windows version is still not accessible, meh
