Re: Just for fun: christmas games we'd like to play, and thoughts on santa

here's an idea I've had floating around in my head for a good while now and one that I'd like to create if only I could. Like you however, I can't even code my way through a home security system. How about a virtual life simulation game in which the world is cheerfully snowy and wintery themed. You have snow men and women living around you and you have to help build igloos in order to attract more snow people to your world. These snow beings procreate by simply building others like them just as we would, only in this instance, they're actually living beings rather than simply sculptures. This game could run in real time also, using the individual player's computer clock. Just a thought on my part, like it or leave it. I'm really into the virtual worlds and simulation games, especially life simulations. Several niches in our gaming community that are grossly lacking which is why I'm so happy that Microsoft is so open to making xbox 1 so acces
sible and I hope they can make it work with the games themselves like they're wanting to do. That would be cool. I'm evening planning on suggesting a futuristic virtual world that we can all play without sighted help. Sorry for the off topic stuff here, just thought I'd share all of my thoughts.

Just for fun: christmas games we'd like to play, and thoughts on santa

Hi all,So as it's now getting near Christmas, I thought I'd do a topic with the good ol games we'd like to play, where we just have fun thinking about ideas, but with a Christmas twist! So, as I don't think we'll be getting any Christmas themed games this year unless someone surprises us, let's have some fun. Who knows, if someone has time on their hands and can code (that's the bad news, I can't!), they might be inspired and be able to put something together from this topic, but let's not get our hopes up too high.Personally, I'd love to see another game where you play as Santa himself, or a helper of Santa doing something. Sure, our Christmas games so far have been awesome and fun, but so many of them have either been trying to stop santa, steel from santa, or santa trying to keep his elves under control.Don't get me wrong, I love making mischief and it's fun with these what if scenarios, but why can&#
039;t we have a good ol Christmas themed game with the Santa we know and love? Angelgift came quite close although that was from a different perspective. Still great though. So here are some ideas, and some of them also have the funny element to them too I hope! 1. Unnamed game in the style of blocks in audiohub: organizing different types of gifts, but this has to be done in a fun and not boring way. Blocks was good at this with a fun soundscape.2. Santa's Flight: a really wacky game set in Santa's sleigh. You start out having to land on houses and drop down chimneys but I don't know how this could work. Also, how do we make this game, well, not boring. Sure delivering to the first few houses is fun but what happens if you end up delivering to 10 or 20 houses? How do we make this not boring?I don't really know what sorts of mechanics this can have, but I've heard various things about Santa over the years and various games. I just don&
#039;t get how flying the sleigh would work though. Below is an idea for a more fully featured thing, but I don't know how even the most basic version could work.-the sleigh seems to fire off glitter as it goes, to allow time to travel with Santa. It's eternal night. But what if an evil being somehow realizes this is happening, and you suddenly are against the clock? Not only that but the slay is losing magic. So you collect magic to stay in the air. Also, even if you fail, how can we still make this uplifting? We don't want gamers to have a sad Christmas. Oh, and how would we deal with any enemies or obstacles in this game? In Kringle Crash we learned he's not afraid to battle, so what could his slay have to help stop evil? One idea I had was that the evil being who stopped time has caused so much panic that some of Santa's friends have noticed, definitely among these father time. He could assist you in a couple of ways. His friends put item
s in Santa's path. Fly over them and one of them could be extra time. I don't know what other items there could be. But there's also another way father time can help.An item could teleport father time to Santa's location. Maybe any magic you collect in this time gives you a few seconds on the clock. Also, what do we do about the reindeer in this? Do they help too or is his slay now a bit more futuristic and can just fly ala troopanum? Also I'm not really sure what enemies could be here. What about crampus? Would that be considered too dark?3. Bokurano Daiboukenn: The Christmas Adventure. Those who've played any of these games, well I think you know the drill here, with a Christmas twist. Our hero is out traveling and ends up, by accident, somehow at the North Pole. Unfortunately, he also got followed by some nasties from the series, as well, and now they're trashing the place. They somehow managed to get rid of Santa's sleigh
so now it's up to you to get it back, oh, and what's more, the big guy himself could maybe come on some missions with you, but not all of them. Sometimes he brings some of his elves or maybe even reindeer along instead. This would be a shorter game so I don't know if it'd have levelups and such or not.4. angelgift 2. I don't know what this could be though. I'm guessing it won't feature Santa but I don't know what other adventures could be in this series.

Re: Christmas Games

I'd have to say my favorite online holiday game is either Kringle Crash or Liam Erven's The Great Toy Robbery. Those are the only 2 I've played online, and I like them both. I don't celebrate Hanukkah but I've played a game or two of Dreidel with some neighbors. One of my next-door neighbors celebrates Hanukkah, and every year we have a big party complete with potato latkes. But anyway, Dreidel is cool even though I don't really understand the written words. I will have to check out that online Dreidel game soon though. I might be getting a Mac Book Air soon, not positive.
