Crimson Currents, Concept Demo, NEW!

This version of the game has gained quite a number of new features since the last one, and Ive decided to make this one the concept demo since the last one I think people were under-estimating me and the potential of this game.Instead of giving the whole list of things Ive added since the last version, Ill just tell you guys how to play instead.When you launch the game a target will be created, the map is fairly large, between 0, 0, and 1, 1, the target will be placed randomly within those cords. You can press, O to hear where the target is, press x to hear youre own cords. Youll have to move your boat to within 500 units of the target to hear it. If you hear it and the pitch changes it means its behind you just FYI.After youre within range to hear it you can either use your arrows keys to position the sound in front of you, or use your mouse to position it.Once this is done press the space
  bar.Note! Moving your mouse does not change the direction of your boat, just the direction of your gun.To re-align your weapon and the boat, press R.Its also worth noting that the sounds will move according to your weapons direction, not the boats, by re-aligning your weapon with the boat youll be facing forward on it.The weapons direction also updates with the boats, so if the boat is at 0, but your weapon is facing 90, then you move your boat to 90, the weapon will now be at 180.I hope this makes sense to everybody.Ill post the key info below now.S, check speed.D, check direction. Yeah, I forgot to mention that, for some reason when it draws up the window the keys work, but the screen reader doesnt read anythingEasy fix thoughjust alt tab back into the window and everything should work fine.

Ive got a few more things I need to do in order to polish up the game. The next time this is released itll have its own mission system, a free for all mode, a shop to purchase different boats and weapons, and a campagne mode. Im currently writing up a story for the game, if I can get some free voice actors thatd be great, but Im not counting on it so itll probably all be text. I dont know if people would be willing to donate so I can get voice actors in on it, but if enough people say that they wouldnt mind chipping in for it then Ill provide a donate link or something. Id really like to hear what people have to say about this demo, what sorts of things theyd like to see changed, or tweaked a bit more, or if they think I should keep working on this or find something else to devote my time to.

...I think the message this was a concept demo meant for movement and that there are no enemies on the map flew oer a lot of peoples heads. (considering it is all in the first post...cackle).  Grante,d the game seems to run smoothly enough on my end and the navigation is not as bad as I thought navigating a boat would be. Now to sail full force into a void!

HiIm really sorry to say, but I didnt see any enjoyment in this release, what can we fire for if theres nothing to shoot on? and just a sound of a boat has an accelerating and decelerating sounds which are very easy to program, Im very sorry to say that, Im not frustrating you, I just want you to work more on the game and then release it, I wish the blinds comunity have a very awesome games with an awesome gameplay as is the case with the main stream games and some pretty awesome audiogames here.I wish you good luck in this man, keep up your work, and Im sorry again if my words are kind of harsh, but I wish the audiogames have a great gameplay which cant be compared with the main stream games., I know that this game is only a concept demo, but even if it a concept demo, it must be enjoyable even a little.This was my point of view, courtesy will not help the developer to develop his product, I wish you a good luck in this

The sailing in assassins creed IV was awesome. That was really fun taking down other ships. But combat of todays ships would be cool too. Especially if they have the turrets and torps, and maybe carriers to launch recon planes or torpedo planes.

Crimson Current is going to be the first boat warfair game in the audio genre. It is set to be released whenever I feel like it, so dont ask!I just started working on this yesterday, and it isnt much. I just wanted to give you guys a taste of whats to come. Currently Crimson Currents has the ability to accelerate, decelerate, turn in a 360 degree motion, and fire your weapon, though there isnt anything to shoot at yet.Theres no readme because theres only 9 controls.Up arrow accelerate.Down arrow decelerate.left and right arrows change your direction.Spacebar, fires your weapon.S, check speed.D, check direction, in degrees.x, check cords.Let me know what you guys think, and what kinds of features youd like to see based on this concept demo.Some answers to questions I can already see coming.Is CC going to be a multiplayer online game, or single player.

Haha, yes dark. I wont be leaving those messages in, they were original alert boxes and then I was lazy and just took out a symbol and turned it into a tts message, and with my screen reader cords sounds the same as cords. Anyway, Im glad you enjoyed it!  The aim is for a more modern day oceanic war game. The boats that youd be piloting you can imagine as small two or three person patrol boats that have mounted 50 cals or other similar weaponry.

Hi. Look okay thus far, though when you said boat simulation I was rather hoping for something piratical with a sailing ship and a crew . Either way everything seems to be working as it should, and Ill be interested to see how you handle stuff to shoot or land on or pickup when you add to the game, though I do have a few points. first, the messages from sapi saying ahoy your degrees are or hello your speed is were rather long winded for my taste and a tad annoying when just wanting to check a number, particularly when Ive sat through hello your speed is odds are Ive probably already sped up .So, while I love the idea of making the messages in the game a bit nortical, for essential
  info like speed and direction Id suggest just leaving it to the numbers. lastly, I could be incorrect, but last I checked cords were what you played on a piano or an organ or a fancy name for bits of rope, and wasnt a short form of saying coordinates. Ive heard the word coords (two os), used occasionally, but not cords. So either this is a use Ive not heard of or there is an error in the wording, which is why I thought Id mention it.

Yep ironcross, the musical chords have a c h, but as I said cords for coordinates was something Id never heard of and thought it might be an error. @Sneak I gathered that this is a game with small speedboats or whatever with machine guns, I just would rather like a game about yee propper old pirates, Garrr! cos pirates be awsome, and ninjas be parthettic! .
