I can't tell you if it will work, but I can tell you how to use NVDA to perform a right click on something.If you can get to the control with the tab key, you can then press NVDA numpad slash to route the mouse to where you are focused, then you would simply press numpad multiply to perform the right click. If you need to use object nav, you just make sure the review cursor is on the right item first, then do the method above.
