Re: Environment Sweet

Hey Mason, I quite like this program, it's a good idea and well put together, so thumbs up for it!My favorite features are the full 2D mode and the advanced info while downloading.I do have a couple questions and a few requests though...  But they aren't anything too complicated I hope.My first question is; what file types can we use in terms of audio?  Probably .wav and .ogg as usual, but if there are any extra restrictions or additions it would be nice to know.My second question is weather or not a basic audio driven map editor is ever going to be planned, just because adding walls and several different tile types to the same map is difficult and time consuming with the current process, and even though it's much simpler than it could be, it still restricts the amount of people that will use it to those accustomed to this kind of editing, mainly SCS campaign makers and UP builders. My first request
is for there to be some kind of added label when going through the list of downloadable content for those that have already been obtained, this could also help with knowing weather your version of the environment is up to date.My second request is for the  variables jumptime2 and apextime to have a reasonable default ratio dependent on jumptime if no specific value is given, in order to simplify the process for those that aren't concerned with it or just to get things going quickly, and the same for fallspeed, maxfallspeed, and fallincrease being based on falldistance. My third request is for downloadable environments to be smaller if possible, maybe with a 7Z file who's compression properties are determined and maximized by the uploaded file's own, if such a thing is possible to code, but even if it's not viable to do so, a smaller file would still be appreciated.Threeblacknoises, in answer to your question about the so
und library, not all of the sounds are from that one specifically, it's just that because the metadata was never cleared, and I assume he exported his sounds for the game all from the same project after deleting the old track, the tags for the bowling alley ambiance were applied to all of the others. You can get that sound library from Sound Idea's website or from third party sellers like sounddogs, but it's going to be rather expensive and only has 99 tracks, so if your looking for a general sound library for cheap, check out NS studios library in the off topic room, since it's on for 10 bucks right now, and Yukio's new Cat sound library in the developers room for 85, but it will probably lower in price soon for the holidays. If you look, you can also find some large donationware libraries for 20 bucks or less around the web on the pages of independent artists, and a few free promotions that may still be on in the developer room history, mo
