I just want to add that most people who ask "Can I be admin" put themselves in that image that they are power hungry, regardless of whether it's true or not. This alone leads current admins to feel suspicious about you, or at least, to not speak in anyone's name, I would be suspicious about you just for asking that question and seeming too eager about it when you're here since only a week or so. I think Liam might have even said something eimilsar a while back when it came to l-works, that straight-up asking when applications are not being solicited is one sure way to lower your chances of consideration. You should know that that isn't necessarily a slight against you, but breaking with protocol is never a good idea if you really wnat to be considered. Plus, as has been said, you've only been around for a week - this isn't a run-of-the-mill online pvp where the devs friends become admins without consideration. There is a protocol here and it is more or less in your best interests to follow it.If you want to know what it's like to administrate a forum, then get a hosting plan, install pun-bb, and go to town. If you're going to actually push the forum out to production, you shouldl either know you have enough time to administrate it, or know that you have enough qualified people present to do as such. You've only been here for 7 days I can tell you that, not only do I not know anything about you, but I don't trust you either. Trust, respect all of this must be gained. The fact that you've made a "crack attempt" only adds to the (dis)trust that we have for you. And as 8 asked, never, ever ask to be an admin -- that yells to everyone that your not qualified. If the mod panel believes that you qualify, then they'll either contact you, or you can submit an app when next that process is available.Edit: I'd also like to note that I also don't know anything about your prior experience administrating anything. Prior experience is critical; many jobs require it precisely for that reason. You may be a bad-ass administrator elsewhere, but you are not to this community. So, if you did some research, you would've found this recent moderator application topic.As you can see from that topic, two members -- Jack and Dgleks -- have been promoted very recently. It his highly unlikely they'll be looking for more mods any time soon. But you can read through the topic and try to figure out how you would have responded, and how that is different from what the "winners" wrote.Being a member is better anyway, trust me. You only have to make sure you don't break the rules; you don't have to make sure others don't break them as well. Your inbox isn't full of messages. There are no people breathing down your neck, waiting for you to commit the tiniest mistake so they can complain and start drama. You can just talk about games and relax. And you can still help out, by giving people tips, writing articles, and, most importantly, by developing new games. I don't even know if there will ever be another one though, but I assume that within a couple of years some people will quit or the forum will become more active and there will be a need for more moderators again. I've never heard of you before, but now the only thing I know about you is that you made a crack attempt, but want someone to let you admin something anyway.
