Mate is cool, but there are things that aren't accessible in ubuntu 18.04 based systems, for example mate tweak tool, so use it only on 64bit, because you can't install ubuntu 20.04 on 32bit architecture, and it's so sad, because linux is the best system for bringing back to life an old computers, and lots of them has i386 architecture.Regards.
