Something else I've forgotten the name of, either way, it works fine now.I did mess up by disableing the audio driver and had to have my auntie reset windows for me so yeah, don't do that. Since this topic is to do with HP laptops, I have a questionAny HP users who use HP support assistant, have you ever came across 2 different layouts of the program?Sometimes it's an accessible layout where you just tab and NVDA has no problem reading it, but then there's another layout where it has like a dashboard and if you click on update it won't read anything.I used to think it was different from machine, but I've just reset my Omen laptop and got the layout I didn't want.If anyone knows what I mean, and has a way to get back to the accessible layout please tell me. You can either do it in the bios, with sighted assistance, or take it to a shop, not recommended, as that costs money. you can also hold the function key to the right of control and use f1-12. Unfortunately as far as i've heard, that's something you'll have to change in the bios settings of the laptop, for which you will need sighted assistance. I do find it strange that the f keys are replaced by media control keys by default, but that has to be changed from the bios settings somewhere. The bios of every machine is different and I can't explore them either, so I can't give anymore help on that. I really need help with my new hp laptop.
I really need help with my new hp laptop. Hi.I bought an hp laptop and everything is working fine apart from the f1 to f10 keys, I need to turn them back to normal f keys instead of play/pause and all that.can someone help?Also, enter is wierd, it's a long bar like key instead of the enter i'm used to but nothing can be done about that.I just have to work on getting used to it and slowing down a little.Oh and the arrows aren't the arrows i'm used to either, they're a bunch of keys clumped together, again weird but I just need to get used to it.
