I don't know about converting ogg files on the iPhone, but as for playing them, vlc media player comes with support for ogg out of the box

Re: Is there a way to easilly convert or play ogg files on an iPhone?

At post2, the whole point is that I am perfectly capable of using a computer, and I can do this relatively easily using Gold wave already. Him, on the other hand, he currently doesn't have access to a computer and doesn't want to deal with one. But thanks for the suggestion anyway. At post3 and4, Yeah, I tried VLC, but maybe I'm missing something here? How do you create a playlist? I can only open one file at a time using open in, from the files app, and I can't add them to a playlist. And even then, we are talking about like 30 or more files here. Adding each one on it's own gets really annoying and reppetitive. Also, using stuff like network sharing and such, is out of the question. Is there really something I'm missing here that could make it much easier?

Maybe if you made a playlist of all the files you want in VLC and then just skipped from track to track?

Re: Is there a way to easilly convert or play ogg files on an iPhone?

I don't know a solution to your problem, but I know of a tool that allows you to quickly preview shorter audio clips like sound effects. That way is however not available under non-Windows operating systems. There is the file explorer replacement tool under Windows called Total Commander. And there is a plugin for Total Commander that allows you to enable a preview mode which plays a file as soon as you scroll over it in the explorer navigation in Total Commander, which is really useful to preview many sounds quickly.Total Commander can be downloaded from here (note, the full version costs a few dollars), and the plugin can be found in its developer's repository here. You can probably download it from the Appveyor CI link in the repository description. Just extract all the files in there into the corresponding plugin folders in Total Commander and enable Preview mode with Ctrl+Q. You'll automatically play back any audio files you come across while preview mode is enabled.Best Regards.Hijacker

Is there a way to easilly convert or play ogg files on an iPhone?

Hello everyone, One of my friends relies on his iPhone for almost everything, he just doesn't want to get into using a computer at all, which makes no sense to me but whatever. So since he doesn't want to use Windows, file management is really weird for him. I've been trying to find out how he can play Ogg files on his phone. Or better yet, convert them on his end to another format. Every audio player I tried so far has no way of quickly skimming through different files like previews in gold wave, and that would be really useful since the files he's trying to use are all about 300ms long, so just playing it once or taking too long to click the next file is just not going to work. And then I tried converting stuff. With the new files app it isn't that hard to organise stuff, and with safari on IOS13 you can also download files, which is cool, but there's one problem. Again, there are multiple files, all of them quite short, that he would want to convert. And when you open a browse dialogue with safari, there is no select button to select multiple items in, the cancel button replaces the part of the screen where the select button would be. So either, is there anything that can convert multiple at the same time and put it onto his phone in the same place or in icloud drive, or, is there any online service that will take a zip file and look inside of it, convert the files it finds and make a zip of the converted ones? Is that even a thing? I just wish he would try and use a computer because everything would be much simpler then, but until then, is there anything that could help?
