Comcast at least, though, will throttle your whole connection for torrenting, sometimes.35 MS is a typical ping for most places in the U.S. If you're in the same city as the server, yes, it's high. But most people are not in fact in the same city as the server. And also, barely anywhere in the U.S. has fiber. Even half of Seattle is still good old DSL or cable believe it or not. I think possibly the driver on the machine could be damaged, because of the scarry low speeds. The speeds there are less than 240:1. Also, the ping might not be good, depending on the protocol the internet connection uses and the distance of the server. For fiber, 0 to 1 ms ping in the same city is typical. The other two numbers are scary low as long as the unit on them isn't gbps when you do the test.Assuming something isn't wrong with the modem/provider, my guesses are that either someone is doing streaming video etc. or someone is doing torrents. If wired shows the same less than 0.5 mbps speed, call your ISP, and open a support ticket. If only wireless is only slow, ask for a gateway replacement. You can only stream 4k on one device with 25 mbps, so if anyone wants to turn on a high quality netflix stream, you can't use the net without messing up the quality for that person. So you should go to minimum 50 to 75 mbps for a family like that. And 100-200 mbps is even better.
