Hi.Thanks for the advice.I'm looking at an atomic talking watch for around R749 with stainless steal strap and loud male voice.However, are there atomic clocks in South Africa?I really don't want a useless watch.As for the Iphone sale, let me explain.So, I tried selling my phone on Gumptry for R7000, but the first interested party didn't get back to me on if he was interested or not.The second person gave me the what's app account to a company called new age technology.He didn't seem to remember who I was and what I was selling.When I told him that the cash would have to be an instant transfer, he didn't seem happy to pay the extra R20, about $1 to make the transfer instant as we didn't use the same bank.He then wanted to meet with me somewhere to "make a cash deal", and I was not up for nigotiation.Plus, seemed kind of like a scam, didn't it?So my aunt is going to buy it for my grandmother's birthday in a few weeks, and she's going to pay R2000 for it.That's a lot less than I would have liked, but its better than nothing. Re: Looking for talking watches. i've always been a braille watch person myself. you can get some really fancy looking ones and you can check the time without people noticing and getting anoyed that you're maybe getting bored or not paying attention. i've actually heard that sighted business people buy them so they can check the time at board meetings without anybody realising. Re: Looking for talking watches. The Apple Watch isn't bad. It does what it's supposed to. I was just shocked at how small the selection was for apps you could install on it. Take that small selection and shrink it even more and you're left with the apps that are actualy VoiceOver compatible. If you are just looking for something that reports the time, smart watches are probably a bit much. Apple watches have something like haptick time telling, may be that can help too. Looking for talking watches. Hi guys.So, I'm selling my Iphone, and I'm looking to purchase a talking watch.I don't always have the time to check my phone at school, and besides I love watches lol.So, let me explain what I'm looking for.First, and probably most important, I want a watch with a male voice.I've had about 5 different watches over the years, from watches with hands to talking watches that were sold for R30 (about $1.50), and they've all used the same, jeneric female voice.I'd like one with a nice man voice, preferably american, but doesn't really matter.Second, I'd like one of those nice watches with the stopwatch, calendar, hourly report, and all those nice features that my previous watches didn't have.Also, while I don't mind paying for a good watch, I can't go over R2000, I don't know how much this is in dollars.I'd also like the watch to have one of those nice metal straps, or at least have the ability to change them.I'd also like to avoid buying from company websites, I'd like to buy from amazon as they are the easiest to import here into south africa.I'm also not looking for a smart watch as I need it to be independant.Are there any watches like this?Sorry if this is written badly, I'm at school so have to hurry.
