Re: Math cooking question

it depends on so many things, including pressure, altitude and the fact that most ovens do not really tell the truth about the temperature. You can find talking Thermometers for relatively cheap and based on what I had bought before this year, this one works just reliably and fine and its still at 20 dollarsof course no volume control or anything, but its still a great asset. I would say that normally when you cook for yourself most things take at most 10 minutes when you put them on the stove, including rice and pasta.

Re: Math cooking question

yeah, it would be a good idea, but, say, sausages cooked for  23 minutes at 400f would be probably colder than fish fingers

Re: Math cooking question

Not without knowing the mass and density of the food as well as composition, and thermal conductivity. Best to just use a thermometer.

Math cooking question

So is there a way I can get the internal temp of a peace of food only based on the time and temp of the oven and is there a formula for this? I was thinking about since  I don't have a device for checking. I was wondering how to find the temp of a food say baked in the oven at 400 F for 23 minutes what would be the temperature  of that food?
