Re: Music Theory in regards to triad chords and what not.

I'll have to look into that. The reason why I posted this is for fun discussion and also because I play bass guitar. And bass is primarily a single note instrument. Unlike Guitar, Keyboard, or Harmonica where you play chords on all the time. However, I have discovered that it is possible to play chords on bass guitar as well. It doesn't happen as often as the other instruments usually because if you play closer intervals together, the lower you go, the muddier it sounds. So if you play a major third double stop high on the neck, it sounds sweet and lovely like it should. But if you come down on the lower end of the neck, especially on the lower pitch strings and play a major third there, then it sounds like you're in the  bowels of hell! Lol!

I don't necessarily agree with all of your chord characterisations.

Music Theory in regards to triad chords and what not.

Music Theory in regards to triad chords and what not.

Hello everyone. So I have been tapping into Music Theory lately. And I want to talk about the triads. Major, Minor, Diminished, and Augmented chords. Major represents happy, Minor represent Sad, Diminished represents Dark and Evil, and Augmented represents si-fi and spacey. My favorite is the Augmented Chords. I love that spacey sound especially when the augmented chord is loud and in your face. I guess it makes me feel like I'm flying or something. I know this topic seems silly but maybe you can all give some input as well. This is just for fun and I want to find some chiptunes that have augmented triads in them. So far, I have been unsuccessful. You can also include other types of chords like seventh chords and what not.
