Re: Mythic reign, online battling rpg I am now league 2 myself, and some of the extra stuff you get access 2 at league 2 is pretty cool, EG elemental battling and your own pet. Again, I'm quite impressed just how fast access changes have made it into the game, and how quick Tempist is to respond to suggestions, EG having a heading for battle results. Obviously, not all games are for everyone, but I'l say this is probably the longest I've played a game heavily focused around pvp battling, since usually I'm more an exploration fan. But there are just so many diffferent little challenges, targets and quests to do, and unlike nearly every other battling game I've seen, getting attacked or even losing in battle won't really do you much harm. It is much easier for me to navigate and I am realy loving the layout. Really am impressed how fast the developer has responded to accessibility issues. I am going through the new player quests. Actually Brad, the quests give more xp each go, and you get one per level, then there are group quests which are quests you can sign up to with other people, and the more people signup the better everyone's reward. Re: Mythic reign, online battling rpg There is a link which says "finish quests", this is the newbie quests and will lead you straight into the tutorial, which is actually both long and fairly interesting. What you do after that is up to you, since there are lots of different targets and ways to advance, even though the main focus is levelling up by beating up other players. There are lots of different targets aim for which give rewards, challenges, deeds and daily and weekly tasks, this is imho one thing which makes the game interesting, since even though it's basically lots of fights, your continually getting micro targets. For myself, what I particularly like are the quests, which are specific tasks given by npcs and you can find in your house. Some are things like get 100 pvp wins (not as long winded as it seems), others involve going to specific locations or looking for other npcs. Re: Mythic reign, online battling rpg The layout fix is a major help, especially when you get into stat training, Tempist has also fixed the house page to be less confusing to, and has converted the "back" hotspot into a link.I have donated to the game, and one thing I notice, is the layout fix makes battling a hell of a lot faster when using the quick attack perk, since you can get to the battle results so much mor easily, this means quicker battling over all, and quicker levelling, indeed I'm about to hit league 2, although I want to mine enough to upgrade my weapon first. With Edge they just showed up as "graphic" but with chrome the label is very clearly there. For training, also note you can use energy less efficiently in larger amounts, and since this is a game which has you training 500 times a day that might not be a bad idea.If the game isnt' your thing fair enough. I will admit, I was so so on the game until I started quests, and I suspect this is one which might become a little too number crunchy with not enough content over time, but given the speed you can do quests, that might not happen for a while/@JaseK, I'm afraid I made an account a long while ago, so don't remember if the species you can play as have descriptions, or really distinct differences beyond rp, though they come up in quests. Re: Mythic reign, online battling rpg I did suspect it was a more general bug than just the game, nice to know it's hopefully going to be fixed though. the one annoying thing with refreshing whilst exploring in mythic reign is that you don't get the message about what items you find, which is why it's helpful to open the "examine area" link in another window. With mining opening in another window and hammering the access keys is also a super quick mining method, which is handy for getting minerals fast. This also affects jaws, so yeah you'll have to refresh the screen a lot with insert f5. Mythic reign, online battling rpg Okay, this is one which I think was mentioned earlier on this forum, but I don't think we've had a new releases topic about the game. Firstly, before we start Find the game here, and yes, that is my reward link . Okay, that out of the way, what is it? It is one of these daily energy, battle other players type of browser rpgs, similar to crimson moon or alien adoption agency, but with a few quite notable differences. firstly, there is a great amount to do in the game. Even getting through the new player tutorial took me about a day, and that there is a new quest every level which take you to different places around the game map. The setting is a sort of fantasy semi-appocalyptic world which has grown up after a portal opened in our world. Playable races include dragons, vampires, undead, angels, demons, immortals and fairies. Though the game is heavily themed around battling, and does have the one click hit battles, there are some unique aspects. For example, you don't lose anything when other players defeat you and don't really lose much when you lose against someone else either, indeed, battling tends to be super fast and you gain levels very quickly, which in turn unlock new things to do. To make battles faster, the game recommends going down the list of attackable players and opening in a new tab, I use a new window, glance at the battle results and then instantly close, so I can battle quickly. The game has a system of energy, however unlike most games of this type, it's actually pretty difficult to run out of energy, since you get 10 energy every 10 minutes, and can have a max of 4000. As well as battling the game has a number of activities, including searching the mountains for items, and lots of mining and crafting, indeed most weapons and armour needs to be made rather than bought.The game also has number of small minigames and side lines, for example paying drudges to work for you, which works like a lottery, and later on, getting drudges to mine for you or make war on others instead. What I particularly like, is that most everything in the game is text or labeled graphics, it's even possible to click on npcs to be taken to their profile page to view details about them (try it with the chap in the new player quests).There are a few access issues and words of advice however, since the game has quite a complex layout. There are no headings, everything is links and hotspots, so your best way of navigating is either using the find feature, or hitting t for table. I would also recommend looking at game settings and turning off things like the player chat box and totem, and turning on the "light"mode which adds some extra text labels. I also noticed a rather strange issue with NVDA and chrome whilst mining or exploring, where if you hit a link to mine or move, the page does not change, yet if you refresh the page you see the action is performed, indeed you can see the new message if you restart NVDA or if you use edge (though since edge is pretty cruddy about labels for the graphics I would not recommend it). There is however a nifty trick I found to get around this, when exploring simply open the "examine area" link in a new tab or window, and vuala, you get a nice little box with the relevant info which you can just close and hit another link to move. With mining you can be even naughtier, since if you open one of the mining options in a new window, you can than alt tab to that window, which will contain all of the mining links, hold down alt and use the access keys for the mining actions, meaning you can mine at ridiculous speed!So, I will say the game is fully accessible, despite the chrome issue which I admit did have me cursing. As to why you should play this one, I admit, when I started I thought it was pretty standard, increase numbers, whack other players rank up. However, once I got into the new player quests, which you get one of every level, i found the game far more addictive, indeed even those quests which do! just involve going and winning a bunch of pvp battles, you can battle so quickly they really aren't hard to do, or feel to grindy, especailly with how fast you get levels. There is also a host of rewards, daily login rewards, targets for completing certain tasks etc, plus the game even has a remort system as well as a lot of continual stuff being unlocked at higher levels. so yes, this is one of those casual increase rpgs, but it is at least a rather fun one, and one I've spent a few hours on today. The game does have both a subscription option and a donator currency called amber, indeed my one criticism is a few conveniences, such as getting a quick link to use more energy in battle or be able to have the coins you loot from battles transferred directly to your bank are only available with amber, though admitedly, none of these perks are essential, they're just convenientEither way, feel free to try the game out
