Re: (suggestion) an open source audio game in python I think there have been a few attempts at a collab, and there are a few people working on a few things, though motivation and time are precious resources. Such an engine is also on my todo list, though i'm currently occupied dealing with a few things in addition to being backlogged with other projects. (suggestion) an open source audio game in python
Hi.I dont know if i wil be bashed here for writing what i was thinging about and for not having any more python knowledge besides "print ('text')", but i wil post that anyways.I hope to start working on an fully open sourced offline, later online, audio game which wil be a 2d and 3d shooter. I know we have lots of these shooter type audio games on the market already, however, we never ever had an open source game like that in our community!Why did i call this topic a suggestion?Well just because, i kindly waned to ask, if someone would be able to start working on such project in his spare time?I dont say start it for me, i just gave a suggestion and am asking if someone would be able to start writing something like that, post the source on github/gitlab/own git server and let people contribute.I would be really happy to see something like that be made and after i wil learn more python i wil surely contribute.I am also fully aware that this wil, or would, be a hard thing to make/code.

Another thing you may want to check out is topspeed. I know it was recently released as an open source project. Re: Open Source Audio Game Hey there,It certainly has and to some degree of success, SoundRTS is open source and I've seen people contributing to it, and I've even contributed some very minor stuff to it myself. It's up there on Github, so it's as open source as anything else out there As to whether we could do more, absolutely! And I'd be interested. I worry about quarrelling, and such, but as long as people are mature about this, then it is indeed something we could do. Having tried to open-source blind tech of different types myself, it's also hard to get other people to contribute. But maybe I just seem like I bite or something!Now, the question is, what? Open Source Audio Game Hi there.I have been looking around and i've come to the conclusion that no open source audio game exists?Is that true or have something bad happent in the past that would explain it.If the answer is that it haven't been tried before does someone wan't to try.
