I also get latency when running games through wine as well. The tts doesn't lag but sounds do. Has anyone else had this problem? My system's a macbook pro2015, running Os Sierra beta, with 8gb ram and a 2.7ghz intel core i5.

Re: Porting Windows games to mac using Wineskin

I have used a VM in the past, but in my experience they are slow and there are many delays. In the later levels of the Gate for instance, I died because swarms of enemies would show up and I wouldn't be able to jump out and then attack quickly enough. When I would hit a key there would be, I'll say, about a half a second's delay between the press of the key and what was supposed to happen when I pressed it.

I can host them on my dropbox for now. I'd also be interested in getting the gate and psycho strike to work.

Why not just use a virtual machine?

Porting Windows games to mac using Wineskin

Hello everyone.I'm not sure if I should post this here. I'm not developing my own games but I have been experimenting with and working on trying to get Windows titles to work on Macintosh using Wineskin with some success. Lately I have been interested in titles from VG Storm. I don't know if anyone here can help me or give me any suggestions but I wanted to tell you all how that's been going. I have been able to get Paladin of the Sky, Adventure at C: and Manama to work well. I was able to install the Sapi SDK and the game and they ran natively on the Mac. If anyone has some server space and wants to host those titles so other Mac users can have a place to download them that would be great, but I've hit snags in The Gate and Psycho Strike. At the same exact spot in those games I can't go on. After the first cut scenes The Gate won't let me start playing the first level. I hear the background ambients but I hear no enemies and the keys do no
thing. In Psycho Strike I am able to finish the first battle scene but after that I'm not taken to the screen where I pick my gang's goal and then move onto the base. Does anyone have any thoughts here? I am also taking suggestions of other games. I'd really love to see more games get ported onto the Mac. I realize the amount of Windows users still outweighs those of us with Macs, but I think in the last few years more people are buying Macs and I think a Mac version of a game would only bring more money into the developer.
