Re: 2D Platformer Ultron Edition If you implemented that kind of event would be nice if you add looping sounds for them aswell, so we can create switches. And if you could, add a function to move normal platforms too, for example a switch that raises or lower a platform, or make it go left or right for you to jump. I don't know if it still exists but when i was creating maps i found a bug that when you try to remove lifts it works fine, but the lift tile keeps where it was before you removed it. And, a trigger on the events system fo handle lift movements would be cool too, for example: stop the lift, start lift movement, lower or raise the lift to a certain y coordinate. And i was downloading custom maps when i see one that is some sort of health cheating, so i think that a way to avoid it is to place starting health and max health properties for the maps. What am I supposed to do, only allow wav? Ultrocity has a bandwidth limit! I don't see any lag, if you see lag, make your source a bit shorter, that's all I can say. Remember how sluggish AAC is when loading stages, it loads them all into memory and it makes some stages nearly unplayable. Be glad it loads on the fly. The only part that might lag a bit, is the load_from _memory that is required to play these sounds. Just deal with it, I can't reduce the lag by this point. Because when we put in big ogg files, they take long to load. That would not be a problem if it wouldn't reload those files over and over again when we get away from the source. I recommend you either make the sound source files pause when we go away, or make it so that it can load wav files again. I saved it on the ladder level where you have to jump down the ladder and avoid some more holes. when I loaded the game, I was right down the other end near a door with no way of getting back to the ladder to collect the key. I made a small map with 3 custom sound sources, 2 of them were mooving, and they worked for me all of the times! however, I haven't tested custom sound source in more complex maps to see they are working or not. But, so far the update is awesome!one funny thing in this release is, even if I don't put any key in my map, the game will randomly generate a key and put it in the map in a random place!Now I guess the next bug for fixing is the save bug. Though I have to say this, at the sand area, do be aware that the camera sound for sand, and the camera sound for nothing/a gap seems awefully similar. Thus one would have to listen very carefully when navigating that area. Re: 2D Platformer Ultron Edition Hi. sometimes when I fall from a great height in some rooms, I land in a dead end and I cant continue, I can only wander back and forth aimlessly and there are no platforms I can jump onto, the only way to fix it is to press esc to get back to the main menu and restart the game. One thing I have noticed was that none of the custom sounds I have put into this map were playing. Ok, that was no problem. I can ust remove and make them again, I had some mistakes in the designing and remaking the objects would solve the problem. Fine, I have did those objects again. Then I saved the map and exited the game. Then I came back, clicked on the map, to see that the same result happened. So please at least try a bit to fix those bugs. I have spent effortn and time on those sounds for this map.
