Well actually I was mostly talking about Continuum  Shift  Extend, never got to play ChronoPhantasma or it's Extend version, so I hope what I said does still work in this game. At list I know there's still a way to make the computer demonstrate what you have to do in tutorial mode.

It doesn't seem to be a very accessible boss, but I never ggot to fight against it so I'm just talking on what I heard.I have to say, I wish I could convince Arc System Works to include more accessibility features in there games, like what was done with NRS. I mean, the audio in Blazblue is done quite well, but there are still a few things which have to be done, such as a sound cue when a character has 50% or 100% heat. Quite strangely there are many audio indications for other game mechanics but not for that.I guess they also could do a more accessible version of the character selection screen that we could choose to use by modifying the options, but it might cause some problems for online play, if the opponent uses the classic selection screen.

Chrono Phantasma spoilers:Has anyone played Chrono Phantasma here? I can't tell if I'm just terrible at the game or if its an accessibility issue, but I'm having huge issues with the Highlander Assault mode. The turrets just murder me each time and I can't figure out how to deal with them, nothing seems to work. this is using Ragna.

Hello,Actually you can use rapid cancel for pretty much every move that hits, including special moves. For example you will have to rapid cancel Ragna's Hell's Fang at some point in the tutorial. You can also dash cancel a move when it hits the opponent.You know a rapid cancel was done when the announcer says "rapid".One last thing, if you don't know exactly what you have to do in the tutorial, press start, down and X to have the computer demonstrate it for you. Correct. I think the 3ds version of these games dum's this down a little bit. They dummied down streetfighter by making it easy to spam a certain move by pressing the top right and top left, or bottom right, or left, of the screen.

I've only played Chrono Phantasma, but I think the combo mechanics are universal:Moves performed one after another are cancels. After an attack lands, pressing an attack you can cancel into will stop you recovering from the previous one and immediately move you into the next. Usually a (a few times if you want), b, c, d works as a combo. Some are misleading though and characters will come out of their stun and recover, even though it sounded like the attacks were fast enough.Rapid cancel is activated by pressing a, b and c after any normal hits. A normal in this case counts as any attack that isn't a special. After a rapid cancel is used, you can immediately cancel into anything you want. I'm not sure if Rachel says it or not but it takes up 50% of heat gauge.Dash cancelling however doesn't work like that, I'm pretty sure you have to dash while the attack is starting up just before it hits.

Okay, so I just can’t get the cancels to work. I’m on Ragna’s tutorial thing, and may have figured out a few jump cancels and dash cancels, but I don’t know which moves can be rapid canceled.

I think with those you hit your opponent mor than once than instead of finishing your combo you hit up. For rapid, the easy way is to do a move, and press a+b+c all together.

Well, I have continuum shift for PSP, CS 2. After beating one story section, I get a list, I think, if choices. How exactly is that worked through? I think there are multiple menus to work through, but I’m not sure. There is a PSP emulator for Windows, and several places to find games, so if anyone who is generally good with the series could download and maybe even tell me how cancels are done, that’d be perfect. I try everything I know of from my experience with fighting games, but just can’t get it to work. I press A-B, like I would for a combo in Mortal kombat, I press a-b together, or milliseconds apart, but no luck. Neither can I get the jump cancel to work, and that’s as far in the tutorial as I’ve gone.

As for getting to the story mode in continuum shift, I had to go up seven times from where I was. Once you are in story mode, you can hit triangle to switch from technical mode to stylish mode.As for story mode choices what I had to do was basicly remember the last phrase that was said before going to the save menu. If you mess up on a part and want to choose a different choice in a character's story first hit start, and go up twice to head back to the story mode selection screen. And then hit r1 or right bumper for 360 it should bring you back to your last save point before you had to make your choice.So in case you forget, start, then press up twice, hit x or a for 360, hit r1, or right bumper and press a to bring you to your save state. If you can't remember what the last phrase was before the music fades, just keep hitting down and A or X for play station.Note some characters have alternate endings where you would have to lose in order to see them. 
 I have a guide for those characters.

I also mucked up something in the pause menu as well, Mine was on pc though, and stupid steam cloud keeps replacing my save once i delete it! does somebody know how to set the controls back to default? that might be your problem as well @slj. Try and delete your ps4 save for that game.

Hi.I have the release for ps4 which includes the long story mode. But, I'm unable to play the game at all, because I messed something up in the pause menu, so I can't even complete the tutorial... So I feel that I, yet again, have spent money on something which I can't play, which is a huge shame...  Any thoughts on what to do?

I know that in technical mode destortion drives are performed by holding either x, or y, (square, or triangle) for psp, but I wonder what the button for astral heats is.

@nuno: Blazblue is a series of fighting games developed by a company called Arc System works, and some of them are on the pc available but you have to use Steam to get them. They are quite good but take some time getting used to, as some of the menus can be a little complicated.

Seeing as technical mode is the way the game is meant to be played, yes, you can still perform them. Anything you can do in stylish mode you can do better in technical, if you take the time to learn the game. As for finishers, I don't have a personal favorite.
