Re: Do you have a favorite text editor?

On Windows, I use Microsoft Word for anything with human language text that needs formatting. For code, I use Visual Studeo Code. Always looking for that better thing, though. On Mac, I use Emacs. You all saw that coming, right? I absolutely love Emacs and Emacspeak. I use Markdown or HTML there, depending on if I need to use fancy lists and such, and I hate markdown tables, I don't understand it, so HTML's more precise way of doing things is better there. On Linux, I use Emacspeak, if that's available with Voxin, since the ESpeak server isn't exactly well-done.On iOS, I use the Notes app, and always type with Braille Screen Input, free and built-in on iOS. I shudder to think of what I'd use on Android.

Re: Do you have a favorite text editor?

Do you use a text editor on your phone too? I often write when I'm travelling, and I use MBraille on iOS because of its many functions. Then, I save my documents to dropbox so I can keep editing them on my pc. I have chosen MBraille also because I felt that, this way, I didn't have to buy a bluetooth keyboard.

probably does but its not a full on word processor, and its using wordpad's engine just with their own stuff on top, so its not meant to do tables.

I don't like Notepad++ because jaws interacts weirdly with it and also because I frickin hate that when I open it, it has my previously opened tiles as tabs, there must be an option to close files when we close Notepad++.On Linux, I use vi or vim or whatever editor is installed on the machine I ssh into.I'm gonna try some of the editors mentioned here, thanks!
