Unfortunately, the GDPR is very difficult to enforce on this forum software, especially since the backend code has not been updated to comply with the regulations. This was disabled a while ago because of abuse.Also the GDPR isn't so simple as anyone on this thread wants to make it out, and the provisions are intended to aim at things like advertising data that Google has so I wouldn't be so confident that it applies to a forum. Especially not a forum in the U.S. Maybe technically a U.S. forum isn't supposed to be available from Europe? I'm not sure how that works. But I'd be willing to bet there's some sort of exemptions in it for stuff like this. Again, maybe there isn't. Like now, I could go and delete one of my topics and all that would happen would be either a new topic would be created for people to complain on how topics and entire discussion should not be removed, or the discussion of topic removal would continue on some other unfortunate topic. That topic would lose what it was originally about and turn in to something else like many others on here. I don't have the energy to sustain myself here 24/7, and even if I could do that, I still need frequent, long breaks from anything, since I like to shift focus a lot. That's why I don't post every day or every week, I often do leave for months at a time sometimes. After all, to my knowledge nobody ever got banned from here after not signing into their account for a while. So far as I know, you probably can leave your account inactive for an eternity but still come back to it whenever you like. Some sites will delete your account after 90 days or some other amount

This is a public area just like any street corner. You should have thought more carefully before posting if you knew you were in a mood to write things you'd regret later. Talking to fill the void does have it's consequences. IMO you really need to talk to more people outside the community, ideally in real life. It seems like that would be good for you, even if you don't like doing it. Yeah, I feel for you man, but just like if you shouted about something in a public place and everyone stared at you, you can't simply ask for those memories to be forgotten. This is a public area just like any street corner. You should have thought more carefully before posting if you knew you were in a mood to write things you'd regret later. Talking to fill the void does have it's consequences. IMO you really need to talk to more people outside the community, ideally in real life. Though you have that right per the GDPR, requesting the admins to delete your topics and your posts probably doesn't fall under that right. Your topics and your posts does not constitute your data; you gave up all rights to them when you posted them, if I'm not mistaken. Deleting your topics would be erasing history, and since you gave up your rights to your posts/topics when you submitted them and they became part of your public record, I doubt the GDPR applies in this case since its no longer "your" data. Asking the admins to delete your account is different.Of course, you've told us that your leaving before and you didn't, so I don't think you will this time either.
