Don't ever go below an i5, 8gb of ram, and discrete graphics. Trust me, I did, and it isn't worth it, as brad can attest. I have a rather powerful system myself, but that's because I do a lot of music work and I want something with a lot of beef and potatos. I never look down on anyone's systems, for I know with the right tweaks, you can make Windows 10 work just fine. I installed it on an old Dell 2006 model laptop with only 2GB of Ram and got it working rather well. The tricky bit is how you adjust system performances. Since the owner was blnd I disabled all the flashy fancy stuff and that thing worked a treat. A simple $30 SSD can go a long way. And since people are talking about it, Here are my specs.Laptop: HPOmen 17TCPU: Intel Core i7 8750H @ 2.2 GHz up to 4.3GHz TuroGraphics: NVidia GeForce GTX 1050 2GB DDR5 GraphicsMemory: Adamanta 32GBDDR4 2666MHz PC4 Laptop memoryMain HDD: Samsung 1TB 960 Evo NVME M.2 SSDSecond HDD: Crucial MX500 2TB Sata3 SSDResolution: 1920x1080 I spent a pretty penny on this system back in 2019. It came only with 12GB of memory, a 256GB NVME drive and a 1TB standard HDD. I don't like the onboard sound card worth a crap, so I use a Dell sound bar via USB and honestly don't care for it too much unless I want louder speakers, but other than that I've had no problems with it yet. IT's a rather bulky system, so I just keep the lid closed and use an external keyboard so I treat it basically like a tower. Fortunately, as this computer is older, I can swap out parts if I wish, unlike the modern, "Superior", laptops. But for my uses, its more than adiquate. The RAM use is less than 30%, the CPU cores are less than 20% as you saw, and everything is near instantaneous. So you basicly paid for a 9 year old processor. I don't know what is worse for sure, but am pretty confident your third gen is worse than most AMD laptops available today.
