I remember his name popping up a few times, but that was it as far as the book was concerned. BTW, there is this extremely strange bug with Siri. If you ask him who was the President of South Africa pre-1994, you will always get the same answer. Nelson Mandela. No matter how far back you look. 1944? Nelson Mandela. 1918? Nelson Mandela. 1655? Nelson Mandela. LOL! Okay I just checked. Siri will always give the same answer from the year 1800. Also, Nelson Mandela had one of the most iconic voices in history. That voices instantly recognisable. If there’s anyone on the forum who doesn’t know who Mandela is, please tell us? I’m very curious to see if such a person actually exists. No offence to those who really don’t know him though. And in mandelas book long walk to freedom he does mention him, but never most of the stuff that ever happened in good bye bafana, although he did seem to consider him one of the nicer prison guards of the time. Does anybody know if the long walk to freedom is audio described and on the movie vault? Also, just a small fact. Apparently, this film is actually based off of a book that is not real. The book itself is real, but the story in the book isn’t. The deep in counters Gregory had with Mandela were, apparently, nothing but hallucinations. Scary when you actually think about it. Mandela said so himself. 90% of the things that happened in the movie between Mandela and Gregory were fake apparently. As for my favorite scene, it has to be the stick fighting scene. As for the unsubtitled words, I can't make everything out since the pronunciations of the achters are not that clear, but from what I can make out it is a warrier's challange and answer used by the traditional Zulu people. Sometimes, when she speaks, you can hear a slight American accent come through with some of her words. But she does a much more better and consistent job then Morgan Freeman. I have no idea what her name is though. At least it isn’t as bad as the narrator of the long walk to freedom audiobook which I will link down below. I found it on YouTube. There are times when you can hear his American accent coming through, and his speech can get extremely fast as he tries to push the words out, but he sounds quite convincing. Especially when he speaks Xhosa, Which is Mandelas native language.
