Trimps 5.0 is coming out soon, but I don't believe there are any screen reader changes.  Don't blame him though, he's pushing out massive amounts of content and it would be so much easier to add more screen reader stuff in a smaller patch later on.

GreenSatellite hasn't updated the screen-reader version in a while, and I'm wondering if in the next update, he'll make the Robotrimp buttons clearer, and maybe give us a way to tell if there are living cells coming up when we're running Life. I've run Life a few times but I always have times when I lose most or all of my stacks because I don't know when living cells are coming up, and there's an achievement where you get to z100 without losing a single stack of unliving...Also, there's a bug I've noticed. When you open a popup, be it to view perks, heirlooms, stats or whatever, and close it again, the Save, Export, Import, and other options in that section no longer appear in a table. This is only resolved by a hard refresh.

yeah i know. i did the wall but can't go for shield block as the shield needs to be level 3 in order for it to work. i am using the gyms when i can however they are taking ages for me to be able to build them. all my other armour is well over lvl 100 now some of it is even over 200. the best i can do so far is cell 52 on DOA.

It was a pain. Just keep powering through. I think I had all my weapons around 75 by the time it was all done. I focused on health primarily, and I did use shield block to help. I did fine until about zone 30, then it became a struggle.

I'm currently pushing toward 120. I just completed my third Life run. Got six void maps before z108, when I ran them all, and then clawed my way to completion. I wanna get to 120 so I can get Coordinated out of the way.

Yep. I can keep up with coordinations until about 84. Carpentry is so expensive now it is taking most of my helium for one level of the perk. I should really run electricity a few times just to pump things up, because apart from coordination, I am starting to slow down on upgrades.

@mhussain, I am not sure  which file on Github contains the trimps offline release, since there is a separate version of the game with the screen reader fixes at https://trimps.github.io/ScreenReader The game is usually played entirely online, indeed unless you want to be entirely reliant on either computer cookies or manually saving to text files, online is the best way to save your game.I'm tempted to either try frugal first or do another run with balance to increase my helium gains before trying electricity, since I am not entirely sure about getting to zone 80 reliably even in normal conditions, or at least I start to miss coordinations around zone 65 or so.

Garden maps are great when you want resources generally, though later in the game metal becomes really important so I still find running mountain maps better for that. Btw, anyone done the frugal challenge? The write up doesn't look that hard for all it has  a pretty powerful unlock.

104 is the best I've done, but that with some long absenses to gain stuff. It seems with trimps when you get to the point that you can't keep up with coordinations and weapon prestieges your best off bailing out sooner rather than trying to push further. On the plus side, decay wasn't half so bad as I thought it'd be, I finished the hole thing in less than two hours without any trouble at all, though I wish Green satellite would fix the stacks line as I couldn't ever workk out how many stack of decay I had, so basically just spent as little time in maps as humanly possible.Also am I missing something with the anticipation perk? Your basically told you get a bonus if your trimps take time breeding to full strength up to 30 seconds, however I'm not sure how you calculate how long it is taking yor trimps to breed to maximum since I've not seen anything about this on the breed table, it list the number  trimps breeding per second, which is fairly useless for calculating times being as obviously the more trimps you have,  more breed. it'd be great if there was a basic timer when  population's below strength showing you how long it'll take, so you can buy geneticists and nurseries accordingly.

I arsed up  and just after starting the decay challenge, realised I'd hit clear all and lost all my perks. So I had to respec and clear the challenge, which is annoying, but I'll have a go at it next time around. I will admit my trimps playing has slowed down a wee bit lately with playing breed memorial and such, but I'm stil definitely interested in seeing how far I can go.

so i'm taking the plunge and doing the decay challenge. i've been doing it since last night. i'm at cell 89 of z55. it's taking ages but i fully intend on finishing this. if it was this difficult early on in the challenge i probably would have aborted it. but seeming as i'm only 11 cells away from completion, i'm going to plod my way through to the end of this. i'm determined to complete this.

I don't think I've ever needed to have quite that many, but then again I've noticed breed speed can be effected by number of Trimps as well as number of nurseries due to having more to breed with, and I have venimps, so that also has an effect.

Basically it says the workers aren't affordable even though I have plenty of food to hire them, also I don't seem to have access to the fight button. I don't either any more. Most use I got out of it was when running Balance. Block kept me safe then. Since I go well past zone 60 these days, though, I don't run the block any more, though I do buy gyms and trainers.

Firstly I think you should use some punctuation, since your  posts aren't easy to listen to without it.Secondly, consider that each geneticist costs %2 of your breed speed whilst each nursary increases it by %1, then work out how many you can comfortably get, though I believe there is a more serious use for geneticists when you have a particular perk. Myself I've been sort of not well over the past few days, though at least it'll let my trimps top zone 100 so I can then start the decay challenge.

Well, I got to z 150 this week end and there's a new perk, I am not saying anything! @Darren, at zone 70 you get a big damage bonus.It's something like 600%*4, but you need to do the trapper challenge first, then switch formations when you get the new one.

You use the upgrade when your warpstations are too expensive to purchase new ones.  No.  Your previous warpstations will not gain 20% more capacity.  Only the future ones will.

i did think of that but here's the problem. every time i use the gigga station upgrade the next warp station is always more expensive than the gigga station. so at what point do i use the gigga station? also like i say do i get the 20% upgrade for all existing stations?

If you buy that, your warp station will go back to 1, but the amount of trimps you owned will not decrease. Make sure to buy it after the cost of warpstation is higher than your gigastation, so you will use your resources more effitiently. You have to calculate the amount though

There's no turning back, learning these blueprints will make your previous model of Warpstation obsolete but functional, and you will keep all Trimps housed there. Holding Ctrl will cause as many Warpstations as you currently own to be purchased immediately after Gigastation, if you can afford them.does the above mean that it will automatically upgrade my existing warp stations? what's this thing with holding down ctrl? does that work for us? does it mean it will build additional warp stations?

You can switch at any time.There is no conformation dialog.You can see the effect of the formation, by viewing a breakdown of your health and damage.

You can switch formations whenever you'd like.  You can switch by using those buttons, or by pressing the keys associated with the formation's letter.  e.g. press h to switch to heap, b for barrier, x for none, etc.

You go to the trimp battle stats heading, then go up.There are things that you can click on. Reading upwards from the bottom, there in this order, or at least they will be until you hit zone 70 and a new one is added to the bottom.hxH means heap, it multiplies your hp by 4 but halves your block and attack.x is your normal formation, it doesn't modify anything.
