Re: What's your picks for accessible/blindie android Phones?

Hi.Wel I could get a s9 for about 300 Euros, problem is that it's a private sail so i can't return it if I don't like it. An electronics store sells the a51 for about 290 Euros, so I guess I can snag the thing there and actually return it and get my money back. And as long as i can safely do daily tasks like browsing, using messengers and what not, I'm good.Greetings Moritz.

@37, when you say s10 light I'm assuming you mean the s10E. Because there is no such model as the s10 light. lol I would second the vote for the s9 if you can get a comparable price to the a series phones.

Re: What's your picks for accessible/blindie android Phones?

My cousin and some friends have the a51, it is a fast thing for the price. The a71 has more ram, bigger battery, I think better camera and a processor which is just abit better. If you can afford it, go for the a71, go for it, it is more expensive, but for someone who likes big screens and needs a big battery it is worth it.I can't say that the a51 has a small battery, that thing can also last long, since the screen is smaller and the processor is eficient enough.I think the a series is in general a great thing, since they last for a long time, they are cheap and good in general, I've used the 2016 a5 untill november 2019, I wouldn't of upgraded if I had the 32 gigs of storage instead of 16.Also, another thing, at least on the 2019 series, the a50 gets the security patches like an android one device, not like the a70, which is on android 10, but got it in april, with the february patch and I am on android 10 with the april patch.

The s9 plus is great and it doesn't break the bank, if you get one new, the battery isn't the greatest on that thing if it is used.I guess you could get the a51, you have updates untill android 12 on that one.If you can find the s10 or the plus for this money, you really won't be disapointed in that one.

Crap, so many phones to choose from.Ok, here it goes, a phone for checking out Android.Max price around 400 Euros, dollars, what ever. Not the cheapest of CPUs so the thing can actually do something without crashing the hole time, so I should be able to work smoothly with it.I would choose a Samsung because of the easier Voice Over transition to Voice assistant, but I also don't mind talkback.Ok, hit me with your ideas. I thought of an older Flagship model like an s9 or s10.Greetings Moritz.

Hi Jaidon,I personally enjoy the Samsung phones, followed by the Google phones. Let me tell you why. I am a sucker for multi finger gestures, and right now, Samsung's Voice Assistant screen reader is the only screen reader with this capability. Hopefully with the introduction of Android 11 this will change, but this is how it is at the moment.

Heya there.I also like a lot big touchscreens, they come in handy for playing hard games like druglords2 or the bear thing where you need to move fast and slice 2 or 3 fingers at a time.I'm stuck with a samsung j6+, witch is getting broken by my fault because I got drunk and poured some switch over it and now the notch is almost dying... But only the notch lol. Also, I lost the ping of it and can't seem to find another, so I'll try to get a new one as soon as I can because I love a lot samsung phones.I've tried sony, their sound is great but their accessibility freaking sucks. Also, do you know any samsung phone that has stereo microphones? I wish they had stereo speakers, but microphones is OK.Thanks.Take care... or cake tare, just do it if you dare.Mike.

Re: What's your picks for accessible/blindie android Phones?

The only reason why I want to switch is because my parents see it making more sense to buy a new model, instead of replacing the 100 dollar screen. I think that screen was one of the cheaper Chinese ones, because I dropped my phone on carpet, and the screen stopped displaying anything. When my mother took it back to the store, they told her she'd have to replace the screen again. Apparently she made a scene, and all the persons who were in the store walked out because they didn't wana be ripped off. Otherwise, the plan ws for me to switch next christmas, but it may just be better to get a newer updated phone. So if I got a new 2020 model, I should get up to Android 12-13. That's nice.Besides. I like big screens. Samsung has this habit of slapping big ass screens on relatevly cheaper phones. Thus, great for me

I have the a50 which is great, but it is a 2019, so you will get updates untill android 11 only.Your j6 will get android 10, just wait for it.I also have the cheapest Motorola, the one lite and for 100 dollars, some times it is even faster than my Samsung. So, if you want battery and speed, get the g7 power or just wait for the g8 power. If you like Samsung, get a Samsung, they are personaly my preference but everyone with their own. Also, Motorola isn't great with their updates to be honest.Mine is android one, but I don't know about others, I personaly didn't receive 10 before I went away for the lockdown and I can't have a look since the thing is at home.I hope you get something that you will end up liking and using for a long time.

I always forget the name of that German site I visit for detailed phone reviews. As for samsung, my J6 was a 2018 model, and it still recieves security updates. My  tablet on the other hand sucks. Don't buy a phone that's locked to a carrier. This way, you'll avoid extra carrier specific bloatware and will receive updates directly from the manufacturer.I don't know about any good phones aside from something like the pixel 3a. If you wait another month or two, Google may release the Pixel 4a which should be around the same price point and offer more software support. Samsung is horrible when it comes to supporting their devices for more than a year or two last I checked, and I've heard everyone else is about the same.

Re: What's your picks for accessible/blindie android Phones?

Don't buy a phone that's locked to a carrier. This way, you'll avoid extra carrier specific bloatware and will receive updates directly from the manufacturer.I don't know about any good phones aside from something like the pixel 3a. Samsung is horrible when it comes to supporting their devices for more than a year or two last I checked, and I've heard everyone else is about the same.

Re: What's your picks for accessible/blindie android Phones?

How long your phone lasts depends on you. I had a friend who used a Samsung Galaxy s3 for7 years and just upgraded last year. Not because he couldn't afford it, he just takes good care of his tech and it ran smooth as butter for a long amount of time.

Re: What's your picks for accessible/blindie android Phones?

Any phone, really, that fits your budget... nokia, motorola, xiaomi, etc. They all have phones in that range and none of them are really worse than the others if you just want a phone and are not a power user.

Re: What's your picks for accessible/blindie android Phones?

IMPO, 1+ and Samsung make the best devices, with Google close to that as well. I'm probably not an expert, but from watching the landscape those companies have the best track records for what matters, updates.
