Re: a good corse to learn spanish? Hola, An Idiot! :-)I am a fluent Spanish speaker as I grew up with a Spanish-speaking family, though I'm a lot more rooted in English.I've used DuoLingo for learning some French, Irish and Italian and have found it pretty easy to use.Good luck on your Spanish-learning ventures, and should you need any individual help, feel free to get a hold of me! Re: a good corse to learn spanish? I only use Duolingo to learn new vocabulary words. I don't think it does a good job of teaching grammar. That being said, each skill has a tips and notes section that will briefly go over what you need to know to complete it. If you answer a question wrong, the correct answer will be provided. Re: a good corse to learn spanish? Duolingo scymes like a bad language learner site. I can't scyme to understand how you actualy learn a language from it. Maybe you have to learn the language and it tests you on how well you know? Re: a good corse to learn spanish?
Re: a good corse to learn spanish? As post 2 said, Duolingo is pretty good for Building up a vocab. I'd also recommend Memrise.com in that regard, you can find a lot of language courses on there. Other than that I can't be of much help, but the course mentioned in post 2 sounds pretty helpful indeed. Re: a good corse to learn spanish?
Re: a good corse to learn spanish? Duolingo is good for learning vocabulary, but not so much for grammar. For grammar, you might want to check out the Language Transfer Spanish course. You can find it on Youtube or at their website, languagetransfer.org. LT doesn't just hammer you with sentences an drills and expect you to memorize. The instructor actually explains why certain constructs work the way they do. It is an excellent course and I'd recommend giving it a try. The course primarily focuses on Latin American Spanish, with an occasional note early on if the Castilian pronunciation is different (E.G. words containing z's or c's).
