I've won against the elite four and now I'm in the Battle Frontier, and I'm a little lost... I've figured out where the attractions are, but I can't find the stands for the TMS or training objects... All I can find within guides or walkthrough is that they're on the central place, and they have blue or red striped roof... As you might guess, it's not particularely helpful. Re: help with playing pokemon games I'm not a programer, but from what I heard from people who know this sort of thing it would be really hard to do so. TSP told me he could do that with crystal cause he had access to a disassembled ROM, but for versions since the 3G it seems to be near impossible if I understood him correctly. I guess it would be a little easier to do so with fangames built with RPG maker than with DS or 3DS versions. But again, those are only suppositions based on what I think I understood. Re: help with playing pokemon games Hello!For your health, if you're playing on retroarch you can have the OCR reading your HP, atleast in HG/SS it does it. But for the ennemies, since it's a coloured life bar, you can't know how many damage you delt precisely. Myself, when I want to capture a pokemon, I'm using the save state if I really don't want to kill this particular pokemon (legendaries for exemple), before attacking, and if it dies I load back and I try to capture it or lounching another attack. As for RetroArch, you have to go into the RetroArch folder, it's located in your C User Name App Data Roaming. In there, open the RetroArch.cfg file, and find the line that begins by ai_service_url. Here is the line in my file, if you signed up on ztranslate.net it should be the same:ai_service_url = "http://www.ztranslate.net/service?api_key=your api key"To bind the service to a key, you've to go in setings input and find the AI service line. There, type enter and then the key you want for that service. Hope that helps. The sound is different depending on the surface you're walking on, dirt, flowers, grass where the wild pokemon are... You've even sounds for water when you're near the sea or a pool for exemple. As for the maps, yes it's kind of trail and error, you can also find some good guides or solution that can help you if you're completely stuck. Also, when I want to know details about a city or a certain place, I read the article about this place on bulbapedia, it often has really good informations that can help you know what are the points of interest in this area.
