As long as you have a supported version of the game its going to work, i'm talking about crystal. Crystal clear should work right out of the box with our normal crystal scripts. Foodsteps wont work in version 2.1 though til someone figures the ram function out. I'm not going to link the game for obvious reasons. I have had a lookes at the change Log and probably the biggest change is the ability to choose your starting town as well as region. You can even move your home later on as well as find new locations for it not immediately available at the start. Besides that, there are a ton of new additions like music, sidequests, too many for my poor finger to tap out on this touch screen.A couple things worth noting: the character editor when starting a new game is a pain in the rear but if you can figure that out then the rest is pretty straight forward. Also, footstep sounds are broken again so its not 2984 anymore unless I had it wrong to start with. If anyone can figure what to change the footstep ram number to, please share. You can still use the camera and path finder though, and everything else should be as it was. Finally, you can still use your save from the old version, just save inside olivine pokemon center, then switch out the old game with the latest version, then go outside and talk to the sign for confirmation. A beep means success, and if your warped back inside then it means the game needs to be update. I just started over but still have my old save. Remember to back up your original sprites file if you choose to get this. Not everything is done yet, but hopefully it will be eventually.Click here.Any more than this though will require the help of someone else more experienced than I, since really all I'm doing is changing the text in the file by comparing the two roms. Also please don't mind some of the stupid object names, those will be there if you see them because I didn't know what the duplicate names would refer to.
