I just find it really ironic that Apple, the supposed company who's cared about accessibility for all its users for years and years, hasn't even bothered to make its app store submission system accessible. That's just hilarious and puts paid to that entire argument. Like okay, yeah, care about accessibility for your customers, but I'd think that would include developers too.

Okay.The new app button is aria-hidden.There are some fields VO can't access, so you always get validation errors.In the agreements table, VO won't interact, so you can't sign the paid apps agreement.In the field to enter a name for your app bundle identifiers, VO won't click, and you can't type. NVDA on Windows does the same, and skips the agreements table altogether as well.Etc.I love my Mac. But as a dev platform, it makes me want to rip my ears off.

Hi.I will make one real quick.On another note, I dunno if I wanna write a tutorial for becoming a developer. I'm pretty sure you can use the website yourself. I can write some xcode tips, sure. Let me record an audio tutorial.As for the indentation reporting, I'm still dealing with that issue. I'm going to try and post something on github so everyone can use it, but the fact is I'm not using it myself yet because I want it to check whenever arrow keys are pressed and not on every vo message. Hopefully this is easy to do.

It's perfectly accessible.  It's just the perfect example of how accessible doesn't mean usable.  Ogomez92 is unique in these parts for having the patience to deal with it, but you're not going to run into much of a "this flat out doesn't work".  What actually happens is you run into "wow, this is a bit slower than it should be", "wow, this UI kinda sucks, I have to press way too many keys", etc. But over and over and over forever.  Also, indentation indication requires third party tooling because Voiceover doesn't have it.  Which, again, sure that exists now--but Ogomez92 had to write it, and it's yet another of the "man, this is way less than it could be" problems.Flutter is almost fully command line though.  If it's so command line that it can even deploy the app to the device without ever using xcode that'd be great, but flutter is probably what you want being as the code is shared between iOS and Android and apparently has good accessibility.  I've never used it, though, so good accessibility is only repeating what others have said.  Still, if I ever need to do this, flutter is what I'll be looking at first.

@3 you should really write a tutorial for becoming an Apple developer. For example, how accessible is getting a dev ID? Or keyboard shortcuts for XCode?You don't need XCode for Flutter? Idk, for one of them you do, maybe react? It generates a .xcodeproj file, but you can edit the files in VS Code, which is my editor of choice on any platform.

VS Code is really accessible on Mac, but if you want to use Swift/Objective-C, you're going to need XCode. And it's certainly useable (Oriol does it), but it's not fun by any means. For something like React/Flutter, you're going to need to open XCode to build the project, but you can edit the JS in something like VS Code.
