Re: STUSBXLR10 cable, help please
Re: STUSBXLR10 cable, help please This cable is most likely an XLR to USB adapter. This means you will need an XLR microphone such as the Behringer XM8500. The button on the rounded end of the cable is part of the XLR specification, and is the method by which you detach the XLR plug. The button is a spring-loaded affair. It will snap in to play when you plug it in. In order to remove the plug, depress then button then pull out the wire from the microphone, making sure to only pull by the body of the plug, and not the connecting cable. The fact that it attempts to subvert your audio system is a flaw of the CMedia chipset incorporated into most of these converters. You will need to make sure that youre in the mmanage audio devices dialog box when you plug this in, that way youll be able to set the def ault output device back to your speakers or headphones.Kai URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=210242#p210242 ___ Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector

STUSBXLR10 cable, help please Hello all,no that was not spam on the title, dont worry. the lightsnake STUSBXLR10 cable is an xlr microphone cable. I asked for that because I wanted a microphone that I could podcast with, and I got it. Questions though.1. Is it a microphone in itself? Or does it require the connection of a microphone to work?2. If the answer is that it needs extra microphone? which kind? I know it said xlr... but what kind of connecter is that? Is it your standard 3.5MM jack like on headphones?3. When I plug it into the usb socket on my computer, it will turn off sound in my soundcard because it wants to play the sound through the lightsnake STUSBXLR10 cable, which has no speaker.4. What is the little button on the other end of the connecter, opposite to the one that plugs into the computer?Thumbs up will be given to you if you help, because I really want to know. This thing sounds very cool, and I need to know if I either: A, need extra accessories, or B, need to return it because it was the wrong choice. Please, please, help me.Thanks very much in advance,Steven.
