Re: Sound blaster command and Creative sound blaster AE9 Sound cards no longer get you anything at all in any fashion unless you've got software that specifically works with them in some manner, i.e. you're hoping that you can use the 5.1 to headphones emulation or something like that. If you've got crappy onboard audio, get a $20 USB to headphone adapter (any of them will do) and that will solve that problem for you.Sound cards used to be a thing because we used to use them for offloading processing that the CPU couldn't handle. But now what you're buying is a super expensive digital to analog converter with a bunch of extra useless to mostly useless bits. Does someone know how accessible it is? is that application sound blaster command accessible like for sound blaster ZX or ZXR?
