The problem with such an assertion is that its speculative, you don't really know what they are, or aren't thinking. It assumes that they know about these issues and are consciously ignoring it. I didn't expect Star Citizen to be fully accessible, not neccessarily because they don't care, but because many developers aren't aware of these specific accessibility issues. But I don't really know for certain, they may be putting it off for Beta or simply overlooked it.I've checked around their forums and they are implementing a [color blind mode] that people requested:“Ben – I can’t say when, but yes, it will happen. We will definitely have HUD options that make the game playable for folks who are colorblind.”There's also been two threads about VI access [here] and [here], but nothing on straight blind access and the little features like audio cues and such. These aren't things their explicitly listing and will likely put in Beta release, but letting them know its something people care about and want is important for them to put the effort into implementing it, and right now nobodies said anything. Let's save the pitchforks and resentment for when people ask them about it and they straight up say "we don't care".

unfortunately, I think I have to agree with darren on this one guys, and you know I'm an incurable optimist and I try never ever to be a negative nancy but I feel like this game is too far along with its development to be made accessible. Which is why I'm going to fight tooth and nail to build us our own virtual world that everyone can live in both us as well as our sighted counterparts and I think I'm going to try to use the unreal engine to have this built. And I'm hiring people to build this world as you know. But enough about our world and back to the topic at hand. Have a wonderful day my friends.

Star Citizen Free Trial for a Week

As reported by [rockpapershotgun]:The Kickstarter poster child is having a 7 day free trial right now, and many of their oh so [expensive ships] are on the show floor for people to try out on different days. Its probably not even remotely accessible, but its as good an opportunity to find out if anyones interested.The download page is over [here], the installers about  100 MB, but upwards of 45 GB or more of game.
