@318Do you have lock-on aiming enabled? If so you should have no problem hitting it.  The gun will automatically account for bullet drop etc if I'm thinking of the right section.

Huh, so I'm not in the headspace to try this now, but you seemed to get through that area quickly. Is there any audio indication of when you can start following story progression again? I keep assuming I'll hear some massive yell or gate opening noise, but maybe you don't because they're trying to be stealthy?Tomorrow I'll try hitting L3 on the regular to see if I'm missing that. But I'm just not getting through this spot and don't know why.

OK, I've gotta be missing something. I try to run, then when I hear Abbie stop panting I press the right stick to turn and run again. I try not to run in the direction of infected. No matter what I do, they swarm me and it's over. I've been killed like 10 times now, and dropped to super light difficulty out of frustration. If I'm supposed to run away, I wish it played the safety avoidance tone like it does in bigger boss battles.Any tips welcome. This is starting to frustrate me because, while I know I should run away, this is one of those situations where the game really doesn't convey to me enough about the environment so I can find a good "away," other than just by wasting time turning, wondering if I've turned enough to get unstuck off of the wall, etc.And maybe I'm turning wrong. I assume right-stick turns because it aims, and that left-stick left/right sidesteps. Is that right? My headset isn't the greatest so the environmental cues aren't always helpful.

304, you need to move around. If you stay in one spot you will be over run. It's a combination of killing and changing your location. Once the kids start yelling at you, press l3 and sprint for it. There are more than clickers and runners you have to deal with here.

Slowly working my way through this when I can borrow a buddy's PS4, and I've been stuck at this part for a while. It's shortly after Yara and Lev cut Abbie down. She gets her stuff back, you lute a few places, then have a few small fights. Then they say something about having to open a gate, and there's a fight I can't get past. You can't hide. Story progression doesn't let you go further. I take out a few of what I think are runners, then am overwhelmed by clickers.I guess I'm holding them off while the kids get the gate open? What am I supposed to do here? Has to be a smarter way. Only thing I haven't tried are pipe bombs, but for some reason I never seem to get the aim assist sound, or don't have any time to adjust my loadout.Thanks.

I don't remember having to jump or swing at the first rope section. You just have to throw it and then climb out to the roof. The jumping comes in at the second rope puzzle.

Heya there: sorry I took so long to respond, but I completed that puzzle on the easiest difficulty level and had to see if I could complete it on the default one. I don't know how far you've gotten, so this may be a spoiler or not, so I'm putting in a line for that so read below if ya want.SPOILERWhen Ellie and Dina get to the point past all the clickers, runners, and goodies Oh my!they'll eventually come to an obsticle that won't move.It's an interactive triangle button promt, so listen for it.When they try to move it and it won't move, Dina will tell Ellie to hurl her up through the hole in the roof. Go to the next interactive triangle button prompt and after activating it, don't move from the spot.You've got a cable and have to throw it over a beam. Y'll hear a prompt, and it's important you stay right where you are, hold down the l-2 button to aim, and still holding that, hit r-2 to throw. RElease them, once the throw is complete and you'll here a "fuck yeah!" from Ellie.After that, Dina tests the cable and goes up advising you that it's windy up there. Here's where it gets fun.Now, you have to find the cable, listen for the interactive rope prompt. It's going to coincide with the jump prompt when you get lined up with it.Once you've gotten the jump prompt and the rope interactive sweetener sound centered, now hold down r-1 and if you don't hear a higher tone from the jump prompt, then move the camera up with right stick up untill you do. Now while still holing r-1 hit the x button and the prompts will disappear and you'll get the climbing sound.Here's the hard part, you have to swing and climb until you get into position to make the swing jump. You can let go of the r-1 button here and begin the swing jump as follows.Nudge the left stick forward a bit, and hit the triangle button  and then nudge the left stick  and again the  triangle button. You will, if all goes well, be alternating these and getting climb sounds until you hear the roof climb sound and again, if all went well, hit the triangle button and bring the stick forward and you'll be on the roof. You'll get a warning drop so be careful of that. It's not easy, so you may want to save your position just before the whole sequence so you can go back and practice. Well greetings again all!After obsessing about it for a while, it's time to take a rest for a few hours, because I finally figured out the rope sequence that's been happily frustrating me. I'm sure that I'm the last one to figure it out though, since I'm probably one of the last people here to have gotten this game, but I'm having lots of fun with it.I did however learn something very interesting, and it's probably default ps4 behavior so forgive the observations of a rank newbie.Wanting to test what would happen if I uninstalled the game, since I messed it up with my experimenting by turning off tts and couldn't remember how to turn it back on I tried the old uninstall/re-install and behold, the game remembered my messed up settings. Had to get me some sighted assistance to read my menus, but all good after that. If anyone really does want to know how I did the rope sequence, I'll let ya know, otherwise, I'll just stop here.Take care and happy gaming!

Heya there all! I've waited a while to post here, because after buying this game and having a bunch of fun with it, I'm still stuck at the rope portion, which I really don't want to skip, as I want the satisfaction of completing it, even if it takes a nice long time. I've done the part of the puzzle where you fling the rope over, and the char says "fuck yeah!" to herself, and Dina climbs up to the roof and warns Ellie that it's windy up there. Tried a few things but I'm not sure what to do from here. Any help most welcome. I'm playing it on the default level, which I guess is moderate, had fun sneaking up on all the critters without having to use a cocktail in the supermarket, good creepy fun them clickers.Thanks again... Actually you can cover there, probably not for the whole time but this is what I did. I just got in cover and sneaked for the most part. Sniper section is really easy. Remember to sprint when you can't cover and duck a lot. Sometimes just don't rush, just keep iit slow and you will be fine.

I tried running, and blasting. issue I ran in to was that one of two things happened.1. I got swarmed and died.2. I got snipered and died.The game forces you not to be able to get in to cover which would really be helpful.

So with the latest patch Rat King was a piece of cake. However, I'm at the part where you're being sniped at while having to deal with runners and clickers. I'm curious if anyone has any advice on how to eal with that. Trying to snipe off oncoming zombies causes you to get blown away, but I can't seem to out run them. thoughts?

@assaultdon't know the exact name for this option, because my game is in spanish and i don't have the ps4 connected right now to check it out, but...there's an option for aiming and locking onto enemies, and you can select yes, no, and automatic. make sure you have automatic selected. maybe that is the problem.about selecting different weapons, for example if you want to change your long weapon, press left, just after earing shotgun or rifle, hold square and the menu will appear. use up and down arrow to select your weapon, then release square.

IT's not just holding l2, it doesn't automatically target correctly all the time. Sometimes you have to rotate the retical with the right stick and that doesn't always work for some reason. Thank God for the skip puzzle option.

I don't remember the rope thing that much cause there are few of those. To throw the rope you need to hold l2 (I guess? The same for targetting) and you should hear a high tone with a vibration them pull the r2 to shot.In the game you can collect holsters to have more weapons. To access that you need to hold square and use d-pad to change your weapons.Actually keep in mind there's one puzzle in the game with a cable you need to hold and throw in the coorect spot, if you do that you need to duck to pass it, if you not, Ellie will hit the cable with her head and you'll be in a loop as I did hahaThis is where audio descriptions would be a must have!

l3 just points you in the right direction. The right stick rotates the camera which, if I'm not mistaken, also rotates your perspective. The left stick side steps, if I'm not mistaken?

I'm also working through day 1, and rope throwing doesn't make sense to me. I press triangle to grab it and then hold l2 to try and aim, but no matter how much I rotate the right analogue stick I can't seem to get to the proper position.Also, basic inventory question. Can you only hold a mximum of two weapons? I just found the shotgun in the bank, but I seem to no longer have the rifle. Can't find it either in the dpad list or in my actual inventory.

When you encounter a ladder, you should hear gthe sweetener, which sounds like footsteps going on metal rungs. Press X, then use forward or backward to climb up or down. Just be careful when using L3, because there are some platforms you can climb up and it'll have you going around in a circle.

That part got me stuck for a bit as well. If the targeting sound doesn't come up, while aiming, you can move the crosshairs around until you do hear it. It shouldn't be too far off from where you start if you press l3.

You pretty much have to use l3 to make sure you're at the right spot, and then aim and shoot as soon as you hear the targeting sound. That's how I did it.

Hello!I am playing TLOU and hae one problem, maybe someone could help me.I am in the chapter in Seattle, where Ellie remembers the shotgun session with Tommy and where you have to aim and shoot. I have the issue, that the accessibility doesn't recognice my targeting. I try to aim on the sign to shoot it, but no sound appears. I went through all possible options, but can't find anything wrong. First I thought, the scanner range must be set higher, but nothing changes. All versions should have all languages, I bought it in Hungary, but I played it in english, but I have all languages available in the options menu.Unfortunately I can't test it out for you because I don't have the japanese proficiency to find the language settings again after switching

You don't need auto pick up for the TTS to read what you got.I have my language on english so I'm not sure how the TTS works in other cases, but it should read them out automatically.
