Re: What's your favorite restaurant to eat at?

@JayJay, interesting. Ironically, the best kfc I have ever had was of all places, at Gatwick airport. Generally though, if we're talking actual restaurants, not chain places, then all of the nicest ones I know are local places owned by random people. Back where I used to live in Durham, there was the most amazing gastro pub called the court inn. For those outside the UK, a "gastro pub", denotes not merely a pub that sells food, I mean these days most pubs have some sort of grub or other, even if just chips or pies. A "gastro pub", is a pub with actual culinary pretentions. there are several chains of gastro pubs in the UK where the food is sort of bought in, places like witherspoons or hardies, which are like chain restaurants, nice in and of themselves, but not particularly special, however just as with restaurants, there are some gastro pubs that are privately owned, employ their own local chefs and do their own unique recipes. The court inn in Durham was one such. Called the "court inn", because it is very close to the actual crown court and the place where all of the judges and court officials go for lunch, it also had a lot of customers  from the university (like myself), and was not only a place I occasionally dropped into on my own for a quick bight, but also the first place my lady and I actually went for a meal alone together in fifteen, albeit I can't exactly call this a "date", since she was staying with me and we were already very much together at that point.Their food went from usual pub grub, such as steak and kidney pies, albeit probably some of the best pies I've ever had, burgers, bbq chicken, to some recipes of their own, like chicken with black pudding, or an absolutely awesome prince bishop pie (think of a shepherd's pie made with wild boar),  to some really quite unusual things, going as far as squirrel, Ostridge steaks, zebra meatballs, and esca go. they also did some very nice cocktails too, and it didn't hurt that they were very friendly, and got to know both us, and our dogs, we even had our own table which they always gave us when we made a reservation, which was both large enough for the dogs, and in a comparatively quiet corner with large comfy sofas .Hands down one of the best places I've ever eaten, and somewhere I really miss, for all we have discovered one very lovely Italian place here in Newark run by a very friendly, and slightly bonkers Spaniard, though obviously we've not been able to go for months, and are hoping his business survives.

Re: What's your favorite restaurant to eat at?

Yeah, there's no better restaurant than my house on a Sunday, or perhaps most Trinidadian houses on a Sunday xd.But I do fancy karamat, which is a roti place just before you enter the city, and Royal Castle, which is Trinidadian KFC, just with smaller chicken. Even though the chicken is smaller, the fries are better, the chicken more seasoned. Oh yeah, and I don't fucking have to ask for fucking ketchup there! Pizza boys, our version of Pizza Hut, i really like Pizza Boys, they make a good hawaiian pizza. And this list wouldn't be complete without mentioning KFC. I've heard from everyone visitting the country that our KFC is the best, from New York, to London, to Venezuela. Their food is good, I'll be it RC has better quality and better services. Like, everytime you go KFC they always pull a fast one on you, be it not giving you your damned drink, taking away a piece of chicken, a portion of fries, or overcharging. There's also the good ones, like Aquarium, which is a sorta chinese fancy restaurat in the suburbs where I'm at, and jenny's. Ruby Tuesday's were meh, but they were bought out recently. There's also the Friday places, IE, places you eat from on a Friday, like Barbecue King which is a 2 minute drive up the Bipass, they have a really nice box of fries and chicken and salad for 25 TTD. There's also this indian dude who sells jyro in the country for cheap, and really really good taste. Speaking of jyro, there's also the cross, which is like, a 1 mile stretch of food venders in San Fernando where I live. Mostly Serian and Venezuelans
