Dear all, Thanks to the moderators for bringing this up and thanks for your patience. I understand this is inconvenient. Unfortunately, we use the PunBB forum. I reported the bug, but there hasn't been an update for quite some time. We're still watching the forum for updates or clues. I hope we can fix this asap. I checked my settings, I am using oxygen and I have never changed that setting, and yet the profile editor bug is still there.So unless the moderators just switched everyone to oxygen, the bug is in it too.

Sander (one of the webmasters) has taken a look. The problem appears to be in the Urban theme.Change to Oxygen, and try again.

Not a problem any more. I created favorites to all those links not being displayed in Internet Explorer.Not perfect, but it works.

Links problem solved, I just updated to Internet Explorer 10 and the list of links to forum functions is back.Why didn't I go all the way and update to Internet Explorer 11? Because I don't care for tabbed browsing and Internet Explorer 10 is the last version where you can turn it off.Another one of those wonderful decisions Microsoft makes where they think they know what's best for us.

I probably should have said that I upgraded from Internet Explorer 8. And I think Internet Explorer 9 was the first version to support HTML 5.

I'd switch to Firefox exclusively myself except that I like the way IE's favorites integrates with Windows so I can access them from the start menu.I also found some web sites that have accessibility problems in Firefox that they don't have in IE. For example, one web site's buttons are all labeled in IE, but are generic "button"s with no label in Firefox.Still, I have Firefox installed for those few web sites that work better with it.

Interestingly, this site hasn't worked as well with IE as it should for quite awhile. It didn't show user karma, either, and for the longest time I thought that was more broken site code, until someone suggested that I try it in Firefox. It worked like a charm. Since I'm using Firefox exclusively these days, it didn't occur to me that more stuff, like the search link, might also be broken in IE.At the time I noticed this problem, I was using IE 11, too, and the window was maximized, so I'm not sure what's going on.

Yeah, annoying and a bit silly, and I too am waiting for the fix. But not fatal, so presumably not very high up on the list. Meantime just make whatever edits you can; you can always remake them later, when the validation code gets updated.I will drop another note into the mods and site admin, just in case it's somehow been forgotten.

Mirage, You must be using Firefox. While using Firefox, I visited the forum and all the links to the search and private messages were there, but in Intrernet Explorer, they aren't.

I took a chance and played with the profile editor soon after it was announced it was broken. As far as I could tell, the only thing I found broken was that if you leave one of the URLs pointing to your page on one of the social media sites blank, it declairs it invalid and won't save your profile changes.Unfortunately, that means you can't change your web site URL because that's on the same page in your profile settings. You should be able to change your signature though. Perhaps a work around would be to put your new web site URL in your signature.

I can understand being busy and so having to prioritise. In my last job, I processed orders, did tech support, did software development on a DRM system, both maintaining  and enhancing it, maintained and enhanced our web site, web store front,  and support forums, etc., yet I was still able to be reasonably prompt in addressing any forum or web site issues that came up. of course I also worked 60to 80  hours a week, 40 to 50 at the officed,the rest from home. I also didn't have much of a life outside of work, but I didn't care, I loved the job and was thoroughly enjoying myself.Understand, I'm not complaining, I'm just curious when it might get fixed.

I use Jaws, and all I have to do to find the search link is open up a links list, use first-letter navigation for the letter S, and the search link comes right up. Hth.
