Re: Win Wizard, am I missing something? found this one in my files. Its version 3.0 this one is the one that lets you change priority, make them transparent and so on. It has an installer but before you get it, there is a small caution or warning I should make:Since windows 10 does use windows plus numbers, and alt plus windows plus numbers, to do many things, such as opening your favorite programs that you ping to the task bar, the default assignments for windows plus shift and the number keys is no longer valid or working, nor control plus windows plus numbers, even if you run this as an admin. So what I found out that works is to remap these in the hotkeys.ini file and use control alt and the number keys. Still, if you wanted to not change anything at all, you can hide windows by pressing windows shift h, then use the list with windows shift l to unhide them. So it runs from an executable, which means it works without NVDA, and doesn't have to rely on NVDA's limited tone generation. In fact, I'm pretty sure you can use any sound you want for its actions. I think it has just about the same features, along with being able to change the resource level of programs, and the ability to make windows transparent so that they're not visible on screen, while NVDA can still access it. Note that NVDA will not be able to interact with a transparent window, such as clicking on buttons and selecting items. In fact, one of my biggest issues with Win Wizard was that if NVDA crashed and you had windows hidden, there wouldn't be a way to show them after an NVDA restart, so they were stuck hidden until you killed them. It's not a huge deal as you can obviously just check manually, but yeah was just curious more than anything. Win Wizard, am I missing something? I grabbed the win wizard NVDA addon again not too long ago, but I feel like it's been somewhat crippled from what I remember? You used to be able to give windows custom titles and see a list of windows you currently have hidden, both of which are features that no longer seem to be there?Am I missing something?I used to use custom titles for things like audio repeaters in VAC and the window list was super helpful when you couldn't remember what number you'd set to what.
