If you did not read or receive those messages, there is little we can do. If Team Talk asks you to import the settings, you must do so. I will, however, get into the Skype group if I can and get my tT prepared for the next session.A question for colton:As you may know, I have been doing fun stuff with MML for a while, mainly in ppmck, and also in addmusicK, which is a mml to Snes spc700 compiler, designed mainly for hacking into sMW and creating levels with your own custom music, but it's quite a capable spc composition tool. I would not consider AddMusicK worthwhile to this MML course, however. There are two reasons. First, there are things about it I am still unfamiliar with or unsure why they do and don't work, so I don't want to be put in the position of being asked a question and people wondering why this or that doesn't work. And second, because while the text input is MML, and while it is possible to use it with little more effort than PPMCK, there is a separate element to it which I believe is too complicated for this course, and that is the creation of your own homemade samples and working with the brr format. One would need an extensive knowledge of audio editing, more specifically sample loop point and effective strategies to loop stuff well, and then a nice crash course on sampling rates and frequencies and time, and the relationships between all that, and then applying that knowledge to the brr format's limitations. It's not hard once you know how it works but for those just starting with mml I would not recommend undertaking it unless you have a strong digital audio background. Then if you get through that, at least a little familiarity is needed with a hex editor, as you need to put headers in the brr files with loop point information if needed. No I did not figure it out on my own, many spurious articles helped me out... and in the end I did get it working rel iably, but in any case I'd steer clear of that for now anyway.I think I could be a good resource for this group, even if it's to help get the basics in. My intention is not to claim myself as a qualified teacher, and I am not intending to step on your shoes as leader or anything. I'm just asking how I can offer my knowledge without seeming like I'm trying to take over or something. For those who might not know, mml, (music macro language), is a text based language used to code music for, my purpose, old video game chips. Unfortunately most of the manual's are in japanese, so that's why I'm going to teach it. We will start with ppmck, and then move on to xpmck.
