Ive only got 2 days of school left, then I can devote my time to correcting things for the launch. At the current time, the game is about as good as stable, the only thing I need to code in now is a proper password system and well be ready to open up for players to come on during the christmas launch. Currently the activities implemented are asteroid mining and cargo hauling, a bit basic, but we are adding new features to the game as time goes, and weve already started on a timeline to help with thoughs who want to roleplay their characters and really get into the death match universe. Space combat is in, though we have some rules on that which means, if you attack a ship, you better have a good reason for it, if it was a player owned and operated ship. We hope to see you on the server soon, hopefully we can have some truely epic space battles as well. The custom missions were more of a way to allow people to expand the universe of dm, and while it does allow you to do that somethings arnt entirely possible with the missions. I admit, eloquence isnt my favourite voice anyway at any speed which probably contributed to the understanding issues. I have Orphius alan at 270, which people say is fast but isnt as insane as that sort of speed sinse I always find that even if I can understand voices at a higher speed they just take on a somewhat threatening and feverish tone that doesnt contribute to careful consideration or games. I do push the speed a little for muds, though even then its with realspeak daniel (who is my Sapi voice). Btw, deathmatch project alpha worked fine on my desktop, so its got a db page now, I appologise for it taking so long. After playing the first deathmatch Im interested to see where a full scale online space game goes. I gather that the custom missions in deathmatch project alpha were sort of tests of concept or similar for the multiplayer game. It would be far easier if there was some kind of master flight control that would give you access to more functions. As of now if you need to quickly change course etc, it doesnt sound like you can.
