On the other post, I said that there were so many ways to install one or two different things, and that I was looking for a simple way of installing Windows without having to worry about all of that other tech stuff.Like I said in the previous post, my ultimate goal is to use Windows 7 with Bootcamp, not a virtual machine. The problem is that something causes the installation process to fail, like missing or corrupt files, and that Im not sure how to fix. Is it referring to the next update?To properly answer this question, the major difference is hwo one will gain the ability to install their own copy of Windows 7. For example, the version of Windows 7 is service pack 1, all editions. My copy is Windows 7 service pack 2, sixty-64-bit. The one by Bryan Smart appears to be a thirty-two-bit system only file, so if I were to try to run a sixty-four-bit version of the installation, it would say that this programme is not compatible with the version of Windows im running. So some people have been trying to make a work-around to compensate for this. Re: difference between the bryan smart windows image and the other one? @Green Gables FanYes, you can use my or even Bryan Smarts talking WinPE to install Windows 10 in VMWare Fusion/Workstation.My reason for creating a Windows 8.1 PE was the lack of SecureBoot and EFI support.However, if your only goal is using Windows 10 in a virtual machine, you dont need SecureBoot and may use even Bryan Smarts Windows 7 based talking installer.This is how you do it:Create a VM and attach the iso of the bootable WinPE.Note that the 64bit version of the talking installer can only perform installation of Windows 64bit, and that it requires minimum 1 GB of memory.So if you want Windows 10 32bit (X86) you must start the Windows setup from the X86 based WinPE. This is very important, and the main reason why many users report issues.Note that the Easy Install feature at least in some VMWare products (VMWare Workstation 11) does not autodetect Windows 10 build 10240 RTM and therefore can t generate the autounattend file used to automate the clean installation.But starting the talking WinPE environment from a VM and then starting the Windows setup solves that problem.If you already have a running Windows 7 or 8.1 system, you can use Dism to deploy the Windows 10 image manually to a virtual machine.Create an empty VHD or VMDK disk image of suitable size (enough to host a full installation of Windows 10) and create an active NTFS partition from within Diskpart.I have described the procedure in detail and there is a lot of information to Google. Id be interested in this, for I am planning to install Windows using Bootcamp on my Mac, although that might require VMWare Fusion since sound wont be supported until I install the Bootcamp drivers. If you get one from Levtec, They can be set to have NVDA at the setup. The levtec ones, as you know, you have to create yourself with Levtec Winstaller. difference between the bryan smart windows image and the other one? Hello Guys.Due to the fact that I am currently battleing my pc, I am wondering about something.I am considering resetting it back with a clean install of windows 7. The thing is that we had 2 different upgrading methots with 2 different windows instal images.The one I remember was from Bryan Smart and it consisted of a smaller and a mega image.As far as I know it had both the 32 and 64 bit versions of windows 7 on board.The other one I remember, I actualy forgot the name of that one, but I think it was something like pe.64 windows image.Some of you used it, and there comes my question.What is the actual difference between the 2 images? From the conversation I remember, it was said that the other one had a 64 bit version of windows on board, but as far as I remember, the Bryan Smart image had this version as well.So, Can some of you tell me about the difference between the system versions, and tell me, why I should use that one over t he other one?I would be gratefull for answers.Greetings Moritz.
