Re: fixed my old computer for the first time I still remember somehow managing to optimize this inch and a half thick behemoth of a laptop from 2008 running XP, with a single core 1.0GHZ processor and 1GB DDR2 RAM with a 160GB HDD and no battery enough to play Rode to Rage on medium settings and Swamp online with no lag.That felt good, and the thing had amazing speakers with an external volume control and everything! fixed my old computer for the first time Hi there.Today, I accomplished something. I fixed, what I thought was a doomed machine. I can't believe I managed to do it. Actually, Running Linux gave me the idea to do what I did by re-installing Windows from an external hard drive I had. Can't believe it actually worked. Having my old computer back is like having your old wand back after it's been broken for so many years. It's amazing not having a keyboard that is flimsy and has small keys made for kids. It feels awesome.
