free audacity tutorials

any one can make contributions to extend it, if they want. i-m not even forcing anyone to use audacity. this is just a large  tutorial that it's for free.first, i'll start by saying that this topic will be updated frequently. this might help you for a way or another if you have audacity.the first thing you should do is download this audacity version with more than 400plugins.it has multilingual readmes created by me. two versions of audacity are provided in the packagei recommend you che3ck the readme english txt file, not the readme in spanish. the readme in spanish has not so much thingslet's get started. the download of audcity with more than 400plugins is provided belowhttps://www.dropbox.com/s/wz5lnm698fw4h … s.zip?dl=0note. audacity is a multitrack audio editor. some people mistake audacity as a daw. but if you want a real daw because you absolutely hate audacity and dont know that in audacity can be done far beyond basic mixing and editing, i suggest you grab reaper fromreaper.fmnow let's get started. for this example i'll be using a normal music, or whatever long thing you have.we import the audio track. to do this, press ctrl shift iwe select it. backspace is for going to the previous folder. alt plus left arrow can be used for the sameselecting means that you search in the folder. if your supposed audio is'nt there, go to another folder.after doing this, press enter to select the file and it will be imported in to the program. this will make a copy of the audio in the current project (unless you chose other4wise in the preferences)2.3.3 can say the name of the track when you go to the boundaries. 2.4.2 does'nt do this. if you want to see if the track is selected, press enter two times and hear what the screen reader or what the screen is displaying to you to see if it says selected or notit might make a ding sound when in the boundaries, but if you did'nt configured your operating system to use system sounds, you're screwed.now let's  do some processing.let's select a 10 second part of the track. to do this, presss ' to set the start and \, that should be 0, and the end, it should be 10seconds.that-s the easy way. the hard way is making sure you are at the start of the track, then selecting using shift plus right arrow. to extend the selection left, shift plus left arrow. to contract the selection, ctrl plus shift plus left or right arrows respectivelynow that you have this selected, press right arrow, and imediately press shift plus end to select all the thing that is after the 10seconds. press the delete key to remove all that.now, we will make a fade at the end. press end. to move the cursor left and right, use left and right arrows. in this case, go left and prsss space periodically to see what it sounds like. if you hear a bit of the audio, press shift plus end to make a selection from the cursor to the end. when making those selecting operations, make sure to kee the track selected. now, we will go in effects, fade out... and press enter to start the processnow that you have a fade out at the end, export it as a wav file, or export it as the original. for example if the original was mp3, exporting should be to mp3. 320kb qualitymore parts of the tutorial will come in the future.a guide for mixing and mastering vocals (my method)1. run the electrode EQ, to equalice your song in realtime. that will come handyafter cutting the frequencies that you dont see being useful, enance the high frequencies. if your vocals have a 'ss' sound, it's because you're using a USB microfone. unless i'm a bit wrong here, but usbs generate background noise. i'll recommend you buy things for a home studio, an audio interface, a 200$ studio microfone like a shure sm57, or a xlr microfone. note that i dont know any accessible mixers so there' nothing i can recommend for mixing vocalsif the is quiet, you should select a part of the ss sound that has no vocal noise and reduce it using a noise reduction tool. make sure that that ss sound is static. if it's not static, such as white noise, you are a bit screwed there. paid plugins should do the job, but only free plugins or free plugins with an unlimited demo are provided hereafter doing all that, make your vocal stereo. duplicate the same track and press the aplications key. if it's grayed out, like saying not abailable, you should press escape and press up arrow. after that, try fgoing to the make stereo track and if it does'n t say not abailable you are in the right place. press enter. if it's selected, even better. when your stereo vocal is done, a good plate reverb is the one called c plate reverb x2. or something like that

Re: free audacity tutorials

wht? mine loaded just fine. what version of audacity are you using? mine did'nt had that problem. something is going on there. if you are using audacity 2.3.3 or 2.4.2, you should go to add or remove plugins in the effects menu and add all of those, ,by selecting all plugins with the select all button and enabling them by pressing the ename button. after that press OK
