Re: getting a new android phone and need some help I'd imagine that would be because talkback intercepts those buttons to modify the accessibility volume when it's being used. you could always just turn TB off when you're taking photos, this is where the accessibility shortcut would come in handy. That, or commentary might be worth a look into since it doesn't change the accessibility volume so might not conflict with the camera. For my s9 plus, google discover is on the first of my home page. I think you can customize the way notifications interrupt your audio from the screenreader settings from within accessibility. For talkback, it just fades out a bit and doesn't cut out entirely. I don't know how well it will perform on the device but it's probably something to consider.Another, harder alternative is to try to find a modified version of Google Camera that works for your device. It is harder because it is obviously something you won't obtain via the Play Store and will have to install manually, which I don't know if you have done before. Plus, depending on where you live, your Samsung will have either an Exynos processor or a Snapdragon one, so you will have to search according to that.So for now at least I would say, try Open Camera. This is probably the stock volume slider from Pie and I find the one on Oreo pretty much superior in every possible way. I wonder what other shortcomings from stock are fixed by OneUI, I read long pressing bluetooth or WiFi in quick settings doesn't lead to settings, but shows a list of devices, like on Oreo. If so that is cool too.
